Reiner Braun is a part of the 104th Trainee Corps.

Creation

Reiner Braun is created by Hajime Isayama.

Evolution

A strong soldier, physically and mentally, and trusted by his comrades.

— Keith Shadis (Episode 4)

Appearance

Reiner is a large, well-built young man with fairly short, blond hair.

Personality

Ranking 2nd only to Mikasa in his training class, Reiner is a highly capable and dedicated soldier. His great ability, sense of duty, clear-headedness and selflessness have endeared him to and earned him the respect and trust of his peers. While he can be authoritive and commanding in combat situations, outside of them he shows a sense of humour and is easy to get along with.

Reiner has a firm belief in the duty and responsibility that he believes being a soldier brings.

Relationships

He is quite widely admired by the other trainees of the 104th corps, who tend to see him as a sort of older-brother figure. Eren in particular has spent quite some time with Reiner and privately admitted to himself that he would like to be more like him.

Reiner is particular close to the rather reserved Bertholdt, as they both come from the same place and have been together for a long time.
