A loving wife and good hearted woman who holds a massive grudge against Eureka and the Gekkostate.
Exclusive to the anime, Ray Beams was a woman who spent much of her early life in the military along with Holland, Talho, Eureka, and her future husband Charles. She was enlisted in the SOF along with the others and was dating Charles for quite some time, wanting to finish her military tour and start a family with her lover. However, due to the first Seventh Swell Effect emitted by the Nirvash, Ray became hospitalized and was discovered to be infertile due to the phenominon. She was regretful that she couldn't help Charles fulfill his dreams of a big family, but Charles still loved her and married her. It is unknown what her maiden name is.
During the anime, she and her husband are introduced as freelance mercenaries who meet with Dewey. Dewey wanted them to combat the Gekkostate to which the two were more than willing due to their vendettas. However, at the same time, Renton ran away from the Gekko, meeting the couple who were eager to take him in to fill the void of a son they desperately wanted. For a while, they were all happy until it was revealed that Renton was actually an ex-member of the Gekko and thathe is in love with Eureka. The two allow him to leave, even though Ray is extremely upset that he is going back to them.
With nothing left to lose, they go on their mission to inflitrate the Gekko and take the Nirvash. At first they get a massive army force to take it down but are thwarted by the Nirvash and the Seventh Swell Effect. After that failed attempt, they go covertly to the Gekko and invade it, Holland expecting it. As Holland and Charles fight, Ray goes after Talho who was checking on Renton and the children. Ray, still mad and envious that Eureka has children and has taken Renton from her, holds Eureka at gunpoint with Talho at knifepoint. After a struggle, Ray nearly shoots Renton as Talho subdues her. She finds Charles dead and detonates an explosive in his stomach, blowing him up and escaping.
However, in a last ditch effort, she controls her and Charles' LFOs to attack the Gekko while her main flagship goes to have a head on attack of the Gekkostate. Renton pleads with Ray, who claims she loves him but hates Eureka for what happened. The team destorysher ship, her dying breath illustrating how she looks forward to meeting Charles again.
