The perverted Grandmaster of the Anything-Goes School of Martial Arts, Happosai has taught Ranma and Genma Saotome and Soun Tendo. He is one of the strongest and most perverted character of the Ranma 1/2 series and is fond of stealing women's undergarments.

The oldest Tendo sister in Ranma 1/2. She is the most domestic of the three sisters and handles almost all of the household cooking and cleaning in the Tendo household. Kasumi is also mildly oblivious to the world around her and greets everything with a cheery attitude.

Kodachi a master of "martial arts rhythmic gymnastics," is Tatewaki's eccentric, exhibitionistic and aristocratic sister. She has viewed Ranma as her chivalrous knight ever since he rescued her from a fall off of the Tendo Dojo's roof.

A ghost of a girl that once lost an object that Ranma and Akane search for.

Mousse is angry at Ranma for taking Shampoo away from him, even though she has found him severely annoying since they were children and even stated outright that she hates him.

One of Akane's sisters. Nabiki is the middle child with a blunt personality, and also goes to the same school as Ranma and Akane.

Dr. Ono Tofu is a skilled physician that appears in Ranma 1/2. Normally a man of sound mind and capable ability, he completely loses his senses any time he encounters Kasumi Tendo.

Ryoga is Ranma's primary rival in the martial arts, and Ranma has stated outright that he is the only one that he truly considers as such.

a boy who can read minds who searches for Akane.

Shampoo a Chinese Amazon, who went from trying to kill Ranma in his female form, courtesy of some extremely strict tribal laws, to wanting to marry him after Ranma accidentally knocked her unconscious in his male form to stop her from attacking Akane.

The old training partner and friend of Ranma Saotome's father Genma. He arranged with Genma for one of his three daughters to marry Ranma in order to carry on the tradition of the Tendo family dojo.

Tatewaki is Ranma's rival at school, as well as his suitor (for his female counterpart, often referred to as the "pigtailed girl")

a new teacher at Furinkan High, and very popular with the girl students.

Torasama Kobayakawa is the original mentor of Furinkan High School, and runs a hidden shop in the old section of the school.

Ukyo a childhood friend of Ranma's. He did not know about the arrangement Genma had made with her father and believed Ukyo was male at first.
