Steins;Gate would get my vote. Madoka had a good one but that element only showed up in like the last episode while Steins;Gate kicks off with time travel shenanigans and I enjoyed it at it's peak (really more of a plateau as it gets to it's apex and then stays there until the series ends) a lot more than Madoka. I mean, the awesome time travel parts literally ran as long as the entirety of Madoka if not longer.

When I think time-travel anime, I think "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time." Maybe this is limited to when I first saw it, but I was going through many of the same issues that the main character was. The ending and the overall message of the film kinda crystalized several important life lessons and has generally shaped my worldview since.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica had enuff time travel for me to make it top of my list tho a short list it is.We will say honary 2nd.

Green Green has some to an its more of a wtf moments . its ehh millage may vary but its touch bellow average story wise an animation wise. But it does have time travel.

Occult Academy may be at the top if not number 1 . Great animation odd quirky story that the Tick would love.

Cobra the Animation: Time Drive just enuff to make you go ... was the creative team reading Heavy Metal when they ptiched this? 3rd at least

Zetsuen no Tempest: The Civilization Blaster time travel was key to 1st season in a big way. shame second season feel apart.Id place this some where in the middle.

No real order cause its all opion any way. Steins;Gate is built around time but it lost me before Tom was done with the Watch an Learns on it.Dont hate it just was not for m at that time. Seem to recall Kiddy Grade was said to have some in it but i cant swear to it just from reading about the show.

Curent anime Date A Live has some as a power set.

Madoka was better by far and is right up there with the best anime of all time but if you get to where steins gate goes from being comedy to being very much not (end of first season) it has a lot of thematic similarities and you likely would have enjoyed it more. I enjoyed all of it as I loved the quirky characters (and identified with all most all of them...yes I am that quirky) and the comedy.

Madoka though...damn...as a law student I wanted to put Kubi on my contracts book. Talk about a tragic moving show...
