Guts's pint size companion. Puck provides the comic relief to the dark world of Berserk.
Black Swordsman Arc
Puck was first introduced when Guts saved him from a group of men who were abusing him and Puck decided from that moment that he would follow Guts.As an elf Puck can sense when Guts is feeling strong emotions and if they are negative Puck is affected by something similar to a strong belliache.
It was Puck who saved Guts from imprisonment in Koca and Puck who heals Guts when he gets wounded. It could also be argued that it was due to Puck's good nature that pulled Guts back from the dark life he was leading as the Blackswordsman and made him back into a better person. Puck also during the beginning of Berserk while Guts is in darkness, acts as Guts moral compass and although Guts doesnt seem to listen you can tell that Pucks words affect Guts.
