A soft-spoken shapeshifting blue creature that slightly resembles a cat, he is Yamcha's best friend and former partner in crime.

Puar has the ability to shapeshift and is a master shapeshifter and has proven to possess much more skill in shapeshifting than Oolong as Oolong can only remain in a different form for a few minutes before falling unconscious. Puar also has the ability to fly however he is unable to fly at high altitudes as his body is unable to withstand the pressure of high atmospheric conditions however he is constantly seen flying and is rarely seen walking. Puar is the first character seen in the Dragon Ball franchise who can fly.
