Given how much interaction Uryu has had with Ichigo and the others, I find it doubtful that he's sided with Vandenreich. What seems more likely to me is that he's acting as a mole, or if he has jumped ships, he'll come back at some point.

As an anime, I think Digimon is far and away better in almost every category. The Pokemon games are better, though I'm saying that as someone who's never played a Digimon game.

@YotaruVegeta: I feel that they're called Devil Fruit because of the "Deal-with-the-Devil" that comes with them. Think about it: you eat the fruit and gain some crazy superhuman ability, but you can never swim again in a world that's at least 90% water. Characters have stated that downside is the reason they don't want a DF. The power isn't worth the cost.

@Donwun: Fun fact: "We Are!" or a variant of it has been the 1st, 7th, and 10th openings and was the opening of the 1st movie and was played to close out the episode before the time skip. One Piece got a lot of mileage out of that song.

@FoxxFireArt: I remember her fighting Numb Chandelier even though she couldn't really see it (and resisting it's mind control until she was shot with several seeds), watching Grimmjow pound Ichigo into the ground, surviving Yammy's soul suck thing, and standing up to Aizen. Why doesn't she have powers again? She could probably take out a few of the Vanderreich herself.

I was legitimately surprised when I saw Ikumi again. I thought she would have been a throw-away character that Ichigo worked for while he didn't have his powers. I agree with appreciating when your favorite character's appear; I'm still waiting for Tatsuki to show up.

I wish the group that got body switched had kept the voice actors that went with the body, but I guess it would have been difficult to transfer their verbal mannerisms to a different person.

For those saying that this feels like filler, it kind of is. Consider what Dante's job is. He kills demons. I didn't think this series was terrible; I actually enjoyed parts of it. I see the episodes as what he does between games. Does that make this series great? No. It has it's flaws, but I can see myself sitting down and marathoning this over a weekend with some friends.

One Piece has a LOT of specials. In addition to the other Edo-era one, there's the DBZ crossover manga one-shot, two Toriko crossover episodes, and several shorts that range from a baseball game, a soccer game, the Chopperman special, every member of the Strawhats is a gossiping housewife, everyone's in opposing mafia (not yakuza, full blown Italian mafia) families, they're all monsters of some sort, and my personal favorite, Jango's ...
