I used to watch dubbed anime, but after I began watching subbed anime, I noticed that I enjoy it a little more. I really like the flow of the Japanese language and its sentence structure. Also, there are a lot of puns and phrases used in anime that get lost in translation..so you kinda miss out on that stuff with the dubbed anime.
subs subs subs. so much more emotion than dub. plus, i'm steadily learning the language faster than i thought i would. also, the translation are clearer than the dub (i've learned this since i do speak some japanese).
sometimes, its nothing but better training. of course, this doesn't make sense on words, so let me show you.
listen all the way up to 1:30. then do the same for the dub.
doesn't the american dub seem just so awful next to the precise excellence of the sub? it just seems so dang lazy. you can tell the japanese made more efforts to be on time than the americans.
I totally agree! I watched Clannad subbed first and my curious self watched the first episode of the dubbed Clannad and I really did not like it.
I read some of the manga. Boy, they are so short! I forgot they were 4 Koma. I guess that's why they stopped the anime adaptation. You will run out of source material in no time. Plus, the anime mixes up chapters so you have more cohesive story since the manga was all over the place. I couldn't remember where I left off because manga jumps around.
Agreed! The chapters are quick reads. That's true, I had noticed that the flow of chapters were not consistent as opposed to the anime. Yet, the manga is still enjoyable :) Me too, I dont remember where I left off XD
