What If Trunks Defeated Cell Instead Of Gohan
on the General Discussion board.
Trunks got what he needed by being there to see Cell defeated. He didn't have to be the one to do it. Gohan on the other hand, had been built up from the beginning of his character to have some kind of potential inside him, and for him to let it out and beat Cell was much more rewarding from a narrative perspective of the story.

DBZ pretty much just has a multiverse now. Doesn't mean GT isn't canon. People just want to believe that because it's always been the black sheep of the franchise.

Cowboy Bebop or Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I feel both are a good length and pace for a beginner. I wouldn't recommend any of the big, 100+ episode animes to someone that was just getting into it.

I always thought Elfen Lied and FLCL were overrated. I don't think they're bad or anything, but they just didn't satisfy me beyond any average/decent anime.
