General Discussion » Why Naruto is better than Bleach

How I got into the HST was through Naruto first, then Bleach, and finally One Piece. Bleach was great because it was a refreshing change from Naruto when I dropped Naruto. Then, I dropped Bleach after too many filler arcs on Adult Swim. I truly enjoy Bleach up to the end of Soul Society arc and the arcs that mirror Yu Yu Hakusho.

Like others, I enjoy the villains in Bleach more than the good guys. I admit I like the characters more in Naruto than Bleach. Don't know if it's nostalgia or the NARUTO Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals series.

I just hope Bleach doesn't end like Naruto. Just take it slow and tie as much knots as you can.

For me, it would probably go like this:

  • Theme Song - Bleach
  • Sound Track - Naruto
  • Characters - Naruto and Bleach. I appreciate Bleach for having better villains who don't have a tragic background. Sometimes, 1 dimensional is better than 3rd dimensional. Naruto villains make you feel pity for them because they were manipulated (Madara -> Obito -> Pain). I didn't read the Kaguya arc since I skipped it.
  • Fights - Bleach
  • Fan Service and Sex Appeal of both genders (both men and women) - Bleach
  • Fillers - Bleach - I notice the animations and the fights are actual better than the canon ones. Call me crazy.
  • Animation - Can't really say. Naruto had some controversial animation scenes for Pain's fight. It was done on purpose when I read sickVisionz's take on Sakuga.
  • Lasting Appeal - Naruto. Blame the nostalgia.

Edit:

Here's sickVisionz's take on the Pain Arc's animation scenes if you are interested in seeing another angle.

D.Gray-man » How did Allen become the host of both innocence and noah?

I'm not up to speed with D. Gray-Man. Haven't read the manga past the anime's ending. I probably avoid this thread for spoilers.

I figured to bump this thread since you want to meet more fans who are more up to speed with the series.

I'm currently watching it. I just finished the episode where 2nd brother finally accepts his older brother's, Tenny, death and the pink/white haired ninja joins the family. It's a good series. What drew you in the series?

Best Friends » Deletion: Best Friends Concept Wiki Page

I was looking thru wiki moderation and saw we had this concept page. I never used this page. I feel this page can be easily abused.

You can say Luffy is Best Friends with Ace, Zoro, Nami, etc. Natsu Dragneel is Best Friends with Haru Glory from the Fairy Tail x Rave Master crossover. It's best to make this page into a personal list. We have no use for subjective wiki pages in our site.

I will put this up for deletion request within a week. If anyone wants to voice their opinion on the matter (you don't have to be a wiki editor), please comment.

I rarely delete wiki pages for these types of cases. If I do, I usually ask my wiki mod teammates. Now, I'm opening it up to the public.

Off-Topic » What's Going Through you Mind Right Now?

I know every 1st week each month has a ton of manga releases, but I remember hitting 30 releases this fall semester. It's only 21 releases plus a few more on the 2nd week. Falling behind with the weekly manga releases due to school and other community projects in Anime Vice (Othus's Battle thread, Vote for Your Favorite Anime and Manga in 2014! and Anime Vice's 6th Anniversary).

I'm going to burn out. Next week is finals. I going to put this off and do a gigantic manga releases for the whole month after school is over.

@othus12:

I remember that manga, My Hero Academia. SMXLR8 requested me to add it to the wiki database this week. I also added it to manga gdocs. It was strange seeing a really new manga series pop up.

@reiyo:

I hope things are okay at your end.

@UsachanMaN:

Good luck on your exams!

Just Manga » Which Manga Would Be the Top #1 in 2014 Sales for Japan?

I can't believe Naruto is losing to a manga series that is about volleyballs and Kuroko's Basketball. That ending in Naruto must have pissed off some folks.

I heard FFVII was a big favorite that pulled in people into JRPG in the states.

#Anime Vice Discussion Threads » Le Fruit de la Grisaia Discussion

Got some news to post from Crunchyroll:

The new opening has been posted for the PS Vita/PSP port of Front Wing and Prototype's visual novel Le Eden De La Grisaia. This final chapter in the Grisaia series was previously released for the PC back in June.

The Visual Novel Database describes the game

A boy trying to find the paradise he once lost arrived in a secluded garden at the end of the world, where he found five girls. Not knowing himself what the result would be, he took out five seeds and distributed them to the girls, driven by a sense of duty and perhaps even the faintest murmurings of something like hope. One by one, the girls planted the seeds they had been entrusted with in the ground around them, waiting for the day when they would bear fruit.

But whether or not this day will come remains to be seen - everything hinges on one final struggle to learn where a true paradise is to be found.

Our story picks up immediately after the events of Grisaia no Meikyuu, with Kazami Yuuji having been detained for suspected involvement with an international terrorist organization, lead by Heath Oslo, that has managed to enter Japan's borders with a devastating new weapon of mass destruction in hand. Meanwhile, at Mihama Academy, the remaining students find themselves with time running out - due to financial issues, the school is set to close within the month. Over the past year, though, the girls of Mihama have finally begun to find their own legs, thanks to Yuuji's involvement - are they really just going to bury their heads in the sand and let the world change around them? And are they really willing to let the man who changed their lives slip away without so much as trying to win him back? As the end of their time at Mihama Academy approaches, Amane, Makina, Sachi, Yumiko, and Michiru find themselves arriving at a single conclusion.

How much a group of students can do in the face of countries and organizations far bigger than any individual could hope to be remains to be seen. In the first place, Yuuji's position is far more complicated than any of them could have imagined, as he finds himself embroiled in an elaborate game of super-political chess revolving around both himself and an inconceivable new system slumbering in the depths of CIRS - a system that Yuuji may have more of a connection to than he thinks. One thing is for certain, though - the girls of Mihama are no longer willing to let the world steal things away from them without at least a bit of resistance first. And with help from a mysterious individual known only as Thanatos, they may just achieve their goal...

The final chapter in the Grisaia series, featuring Prologue De La Grisaia, a prologue set before Yuuji's arrival at Mihama; Blanc Aile no Tane, the overarching story's grand conclusion; a smorgasbord of bonus eroscenes; and an after story to the events of Blanc Aile no Tane.

The first part of Idol Mahou Shoujo Chiruchiru ☆ Michiru will also be included, the second part hits PC December 24th.
