The wedding dinner starts at 8PM, so I have to go by 6PM or so. I'll be working/volunteering. I'll finish what I can and be off. I check for PMs, Requests, and Spam when I come back home. PM me if you need me.
This thread (I know it's old) gives a good idea for folks who don't know what to do after cons.
In Marino's Pax Survival Guide, folks would hit the bars and drink the night away. I was thinking of other alternatives besides going home and nap that are teenager friendly. We'll give this Vicer credit and link to this topic.
I only got into Jojo last month. It was strange transitioning from Hamon to Stands. Stands came out due to Dio's curse. I don't recall a reason directly from the author. Think of this way, Digimon changes their power mechanics each season to make things interesting and entertaining.
Ask @rubberluffy he's the Jojo expert in our community.
If you want to start that community project, feel free. I don't have enough energy since I'm approaching my finals. Be sure to promote the Best Battle User of the Month in that project. It's better if the projects work together and not against each other. Make sure to give credit or mention what inspires you due to SMXLR8's recent plagiarism.
I used up a lot of energy helping two users: @SMXLR8: and @Vapovile: . I had to close down the 2 projects due to following reasons.
The Battle Callout Phonebook ☎ AnimeVice Edition - It had too many constraints and problems. Many new users were discouraged. SMXLR8's project conflicted with the majority's views on promoting underused manga and anime series. It was mainly unused and plagiarized from Jokergeist's project in Comic Vine.
Vapovile's AV Battle Usage Project - It was a shame to close this one after spending two months on the project. Vapovile and I were recording characters and how many times they were used. I believe we recorded 12 pages or so. When we were overwhelmed, I develop a Gdoc Form so people can fill it out and help us record new data. However, most of the community is busy. The Gdoc form was unused. I believe most folks are not interested in the data we worked hard on.
I'll recycle two projects after school is over in late May. I apply AnimeDefender's Battle Directory ideals and make it more user friendly.
Dio and Jojo made a interesting pair that drove the series. It's too bad that we didn't have content to develop it further for the first arc. You only had one main villain compared to 2nd arc, you dealt with Kars and the Pillar Man. The 2nd arc felt empty because the protagonist's relationship with the villain (Joseph and Kars) pales in comparison to Dio and Jojo which made the series fun for me to watch in the first place. Stardust Crusaders adopts a strange power where one has to reply on their partner's power like Shaman King, Soul Eater, etc. Joesph was my least favorite Jojo out of the bunch. I hate his cowardice and his weird quirk of predicting what folks would say. I agree that Joseph was more funny and entertaining than Jonathan, but I find Jonathan less overbearing and a cool gentlemen.
I see Jotaro being a more likable character than Joseph.
Best Line in this Episode - Only in Japan, Jojo
I caught up to the anime. Just finished episode 5. Got to see more of Avdol (Abdul)'s character and how he fights. The Jojo gang is together since the OP really spoils you on who becomes his ally.
Cool, I'll try Bastard one day. What's your take on it?
I just caught up, but I'm in episode 2 of Stardust Crusaders. Looking at the three Jojos, here's my take.
Jonathan- I enjoy this character. He was a cool gentlemen.
Joseph - I found him annoying since he is such a smart ass. When Lisa Lisa is revealed to be his mother, I found that recent scene where Joseph peeks on Lisa Lisa hilarious. He wanted revenge on Lisa Lisa, but he got punked a bit. I like Caesar more than Joseph. Caesar was one of my favorites after his fight scene with Wamuu.
Jotaro - his relationship with his mom was so weird. The guy doesn't treat women right.
Shout outs to everyone with my comments on the AMVS.I will vote in a sec.
Didn't know you three were Skillet fans. Not Gonna Die and Awake and Alive were my favorites songs for my band.
Didn't know you were a Cyborg009 fan. I haven't seen much of the show back in middle school. Only had a year of cable.
I didn't expect that song for the Lain AMV. I actually had this song in my Windows Media playlist. The song and lyrics really fit the show. I really need to go back and rewatch the series. I don't remember some of the scenes.
Nice One Piece AMV! It reminds me to watch the movies. I'm still doing a marathon on the series. It's nice to see a video cross different medias. Didn't expect to see video game footage.
The Sasuke x Killer Bee AMV had good fight choreography, but the sounds from the anime and credits were distracting.
The Team Four Star AMV was random and funny. I didn't know they made a Mulan one. I watched the How to Kill a Planet one.
The Shadow Skill AMV was pretty good. The song fits the fight scenes.
Didn't expect a Linkin Park song since they tend to be overused. Plus, it's one of the newer songs. Most fans I know love the old Linkin Park songs like Hybrid Theory and Meteora.
The Naruto Fourth Great Ninja War AMV is too flashy. Too many scenes transitioning making it feel choppy. Where is the music? It feels like a movie trailer.
As much I'm a Three Days Grace fan, I can't find how to based this song for an anime series. It's like for another song, War by 30 Seconds to Mars, where it's applicable, but I'm not feeling connected.
Last AMV was on a song I used to listen, Indestructible by Disturbed. It picked a good fighting scene and showing Madara is invincible. I recall seeing a Black Lagoon AMV with this song.
Back to Severing Crime Edge, both series have creepy and nasty murderers. I didn't miss the girl who gets off of killing people, I think she mainly kills girls. Good riddance to her. I felt bad for the megane girl who struggled to prove she was a good assassin. Will miss her.
I'm going to drop the show. I wanted to finish it, but I got bored of it quickly. I can tolerate fan service to a limit. It's not so controversial like Recently My Sister is Unusual or entertaining with a great mix of characters like Binbougami ga for me to keep watching it.
I caught up to you guys. This show is definitely on my watch list. I just dropped Dai Shogun from my watch list this season.
This set up with having a large cast in the first episode and then cutting one person or a few each episode reminded me of Danganronpa: The Academy of Hope and the High School Students of Despair style. What's that trope name when you have that story style? There are benefits and flaws with the style. You get some background on the characters, but it's short lived.
