The arc is finally over. It was pretty long and had some good moments and some bad ones.
Best Fights and Moments
I actually had a ton more. I guess I should list the bad ones instead.
We got 2 part OVA of Gargantia. Here's the theme song from the OVA.

I have been explaining how to do things in wiki editing, forums, and such due to being a wiki mod. I never used a MAC before. I encounter a new wiki editor using a MAC, so I was kind of stumped since the text editor wasn't working on Safari. He or she couldn't add images.
What I'm asking is how do you guys work the site's text editor and other features? Screenshots would be nice. I been doing that for Windows users.
Thank you everyone.
Tag Names: Braht vs Katara,
*Was debating whether to restrict blood bending. Decided to turn it on. Let me know if it's a mismatch or any scenarios to list.
Was about to do another History's Strongest Disciple thread, but instead I went with this due to the recent trends this week. To promote Akame ga Kill Discussion. Since Bulat went up against Liver, let's try this for fun.
Oops, I posted it without checking with experienced battle users. Oh well.
I do commend Tite Kubo for making a wide variety of names and taking Spanish, German, and Japanese names and words incorporating it in his series. It's a shame Tite Kubo is lacking in story department but he makes it up for diversity and awesome character art work. I always love his designs over One Piece and Naruto personally. The bad guys except Aizen's butterfly form look bad ass.
Man, I need to catch up Bleach. Have to look up his feats if I'm going to comment on the battle thread. Good thread by the way.
Yay, more incest. Wait that didn't come out right.
Well, I'm torn between voting for BlazBlue or I Don't Like You at All, Big Brother. I did finish BlazBlue which will help make good comments on Anicrap. Most Anicrap are on shows I haven't watched. I did watch Wanna be the Strongest and had mixed feelings about it.
I have to look toward the stars.
A lot of folks comment I was too strict. I do see a need for me to be lax. I just can't do it. Everything has a cause and an effect. Being lax can entail consequences while being too strict can also do same thing. It's a tug of war here in my mind. I'm trying to find the middle road between the two extremes. Thanks for explaining the term. My English is receding a bit. I even have to look up internet lingo from users GTFO which I realized it's bad phrase back then. You know I'm not street smart.
Daniel did said my intentions and heart were in the right place, but I had to dial it a bit down to avoid pushing out users especially older users.
@Sonata: @Supreme Marvel: @katmic: @SpeedForceSpider:
I spot a good opportunity here. Why don't we do a roundtable? Well, I haven't read or watch the series, but I can help write up questions like I did for HUNTER X HUNTER Roundtable. Let me know if you want to join in.
You must have edit your comment since I didn't get a notification. I went with that because more scenarios decreases the likelihood of mismatch thread and making it equal if possible.
Thanks, I'll add you and WayBig. Don't worry, we're all busy. You two are my Kenichi experts just like Taichokage and Forgottenone are folks I rely on Medaka Box.
Did you hit the reply button? I didn't get a PM from you. If you want help, hit that reply if you can. I do want to get things done. I hate to keep folks waiting.
I can't help with Dr. Slump, but I did found some stuff:
1-2, 50, 57, 75, 82, 106, 111, 114, 120, 124-125, 135, 137, 150, 155, 164, 166, 171, 173-174, 176, 185, 189, 209
I thought the last season was completely filler after Rurouni defeated Shishio. It's a good thing I looked it up.
13-18, 22, 25-27, 63-95
From personal experience I did finish reading the manga and watched the anime, it only had one filler episode, Ep. 107.
5, 9-10, 14-16, 17-21, 38, 41, 53, 57-58, 61, 75, 78-82, 83-84, 86, 91, 98, 105, 109, 111, 130, 132
For the blog, I reread it. Still need to fix grammatical errors. I tried to write a neutral thread, but I think I put the blame on the outside community which wasn't my intention. I rewrite it to fix the tone. I do want to the emphasize that we welcome everyone as they follow the Golden Rule.
You will be seeing this memory in October when I celebrate the my 4th anniversary in Anime Vice.
Any thoughts on this matter? Do you think I'm a bit strict? Just lay it on me. I'm used to this for a while.
As most of the battle veterans not the new users know, I was promoted as wiki mod on Sept. 12, 2013 due to my accomplishments to the wiki, promoting manga and anime releases every week since 2013, the community with the cultural interviews in summer 2013, and seasonal anime projects which started out in 2012.
At that time, I was doing well at my role, wiki moderation. If I needed help or had questions, Foxx, Daniel, and sick took care of them easily. I learn to be a better wiki mod. During the fall of 2013, the battle threads weren't doing so well. I was always watching the RSS and Activity Feed for spam bots. During nightly patrols, I seen horrible comments and insults brewing in the battle forums. I don't want to blame a certain group that keep from another battle community. It added more flames to the conflict. The battle community is a mecca of users from various anime battle communities. The pride in Anime Vice along with morale wasn't so high among new users compared to veteran users who kept the site going. When I stepped in, a user who didn't recognize me remarks that the battle mods are lax and let the trolls loose. Despite violating the laws of Segregation by Duty, I stepped in to assist Sonata in enforcing the rules and keeping down insults towards users and any site. I wasn't good forum mod as you all know. Of course, the battle forum is a bit challenging for me and still to this day.
During that time, I opened up a massive PM with frequent, respectable battle users who I observed as key pillars to determine what is a good battle mod and to give them a status on my end, any mistakes I made. They in turn give me advice how to help the battle forums since I lack the experience to effectively help Sonata. There was an outside group from an online community which gained bad rap among Anime Vice users. I informed Sonata and Daniel along with the group of candidates whom had the potential of becoming trusted battle mods in the future. The majority of them suggested a temporary ban which I carried out. Users felt this group were harassing them after seeing the gossip outside of the site and facing insults in heated debates in our site.
My old teammate Auron570 noticed my troubles with moderating the battle forums when he started the An alternative to Battles threads. Yes, I admit I did had feelings of shutting the battle forums at one point. I did see the error of that because every community in Anime Vice is important. No niche is important than the other.
To counter this event, I used Fire_Star's Vicer of the Month as a template and started the Battle User of the Month to promote pride in our site and to encourage users to be proactive in helping the site which makes our site better and tight knit.
Because of my naive and lack of judgement, I became stricter to overcome that weakness. However, this also generates another mistake users pointed out: I tend to overreact and mistake valid constructive criticism over insults. This was the case in Anime Vice folks talking about outside sites and how their debaters are. My reason is that I don't want users to gossip about outside sites which could foster unhealthy discussion that potentially spite other users who are from both Anime Vice and outside sites. It can turn ugly. I lock a thread called Why is the OBD so bad because of potential in flaming users from that site. I notice a lot of Anime Vice users tend to look down a site due to their calcs. Regarding the calc issue, I made a proposal to Foxx, Daniel, sick, and Dream to ban fan calcs and battle feats from the wiki due to subjectivity. In exchange, I will try to promote and encourage users to make respect threads of their own.
In the end, I was lucky to get 2 new mods this year despite Daniel and Sonata stating we're good. I didn't see that. We're undermanned. I was relieved to have Dream who was better qualified as a battle mod. Despite the successes, I cannot leave the battle forums since Sonata has become routinely absent which causes the RPG community to ask me for help with disputes.
A lot of mods and users told me to stay in the wiki fields, but when users ask me about a dispute, I cannot turn a blind eye. I cannot ignore troubles in the community. Most who ask me for help said I was most active mod. I cannot turn down a request except ones where I cannot promise to keep and finish. Despite the criticisms towards me, I always rebound and improve myself. I don't go in obscurity and off into absents because of my mistakes. I keep working for the community because all the work and trust we built together cannot fall.
Sorry for the long background. It was something I need to say because fellow teammates argued I was editing comments about outside anime communities in the past and censoring them. They didn't know about the events in fall 2013 which influence my moderation style later on. Personally, I always work in the site to make it better. I'm not perfect and make mistakes. I do notice those who make comments about flaws and areas in eed often are inactive and don't take a big role in our site.
This is voluntary. I wanted to get better to do my job better to help the users more effectively.
I had an issue with constructive criticism on outside sites. I do know what insults are like, but sometimes these comments are for the PMs since we can unintentionally spite other threads. I feel we need to talk about this. That's the only solution I see. My other solution is for me to step from the battle forums, but that won't work because I don't want to leave Dream overwhelmed in the battle forums. You never know what happens because we were not always online.
Thank you everyone. Let's make the site better. Let me know how to serve the community better.
