By the second episode, it got to me. First episode was confusing, so I didn't get the anime's big picture. I see the harem is based on girls who have been experimented. There is a threat of being killed in episode 2. To me, it was like this show was based on protecting these girls, potential love interests. There are some unfortunate implications laid down in the 2nd episode.
I think you might drop this show. I know you were looking for a harem full of strong women with unique powers. So far, it hasn't delivered that.

Figured out a way to bypass Epic Fail pop out menus. After getting an Epic Fail pop out menu, click ok to exit from the pop out menu. Then, caption one of your images. Then, the pop menu for saving images comes back. Hit save, and your images are saved.
It's too bad, I can't figure out how to avoid error pop out menus on the wiki pages. I'll try to figure out a glitch.
You two need to read the atmosphere. Sometimes in the battle threads, folks comment for fun while others debate seriously. Looking at the comments, most of them are having fun. You two are the only serious ones. Why don't you two reply to each other? That way, we have both two sides, fun and serious.
I only created this silly battle thread to promote the Battlation theme months: Battlation Of The Month: Vapovile (April 2014)
“Netflix has a huge base of anime fans and we are thrilled to be bringing exclusively for the first time them a first-run anime series, especially one as well-plotted, humorous and beautifully animated as Knights of Sidonia,” said Erik Barmack, VP, Independent Content at Netflix.
“We are ecstatic at the opportunity to run 'Knights of Sidonia' firstly and exclusively on Netflix. This is an epochal deal, as we are able to deliver our beloved anime property to a wider audience in direct and timely fashion, than ever before,” said Shuzo John Shiota, CEO of Polygon.
This is pretty much the only information I could find for this series. Normally, I would create a Netflix company page, but the company doesn't have enough shows for me to justify a wiki page to be created. It's the first time I see Netflix streaming anime series from Japan. I'll be watching the company as I work on the future Spring 2014 Simulcast Guide. This thread serve as a note.
This show is not for me. It's too cute for me. I'm just uploading images because I saw it had an end card in Random Curiosity. I tend to upload pilot episode's caps I can find them on other sites, so new wiki editors and fans can use them if they like. We have staff members who might review this show.
Hard for me to say. I'm from a southeast Asian country that doesn't think highly of homosexuality. Being a 1.5 generation, I still hold their old ways while adjusting to American ways. I'm on the fence on homosexuality. I'm hypocritical. I don't support it, but I don't go against people's choices of whom they marry, race or gender, etc. For this topic, it depends on folks. I wouldn't say Japan is homophobic. You can't say America is homophobic when only a few states have legalized gay marriages. The conservative folks, the older ones, are against it. It's considered a deviancy against norms of marriage in many societies. Compared to America, homosexuality is more open than Japan. Also, there is a biological aspect. How do humans survive since we cannot breed with 2 same genders by natural means?
I didn't want to talk about this since I might offend someone in this community. I don't mean no disrespect to anyone who has friends or families that support this.
Like Dream said, I see America is more individualistic while Japan, other Asian countries, and other non Asian countries stress community over the individual.
Here's the thread. This problem has been over a week old.
Yeah, it not like Bleach's heroines where they actually consent to their kidnappers. Though, it's a different situation. Episode feels short again to me. Can't wait for the battle royale. It's my favorite parts in the tournament, but I can't spoil you since I gave in my urge and read the manga ahead during the year break.
The ED song has so much Natsu x Lucy shipping. It needs some balance. It's not just those 2. That's my main con for the ED song.
That doesn't make sense. The columns change width automatically. I'm not trying to drive a wedge, but I tend to see you adding two names on one line. That's all I'm saying. Keep it simple - one person per line.
He's a good debater who's polite and helpful. He's pretty calm and composed. Haven't seen him attack anyone. He's a bit shy, but he has great ideas on improving the battle forums. He told me thru PMs, and one of them did get implemented, the List of Banned Characters in the Battle Threads.
For Vapovile's Battle Theme:
Yes, I have been playing too much video games.
Let me know if this match isn't fair or not.
If you don't know Takeshi Yamamoto, check Vapovile's Respect thread on him.
Watched the 2nd episode. It seems the story is revolving around her and not using much supporting characters in her journey. The ending song was strange with its CG. Pretty much, it's fan dance with boob jiggle and CG effects. I agree with the disconnect since it still does the world building from a tight knit, small village to a bustling city with parts focus on the slums.
