Howdy everyone! It has been a long time since I done a Fetish Friday blog. I'm sorry for being absent. College was rough while I had too many wiki and community projects, being a mod in Anime Vice. I love doing these embarrassing blogs because doing this and laughing at yourself takes a lot of stress off.
Let's get on why Robots are awesome!
If you're new to Fetish Fridays, it's a dumb idea I had when my fellow teammates didn't indulge me enough with new ideas. I had a idea to boost the blog activity in the site by having a theme each day.
I didn't have much time to fully flesh it out. Plus, I don't watch a lot of anime especially older series prior 2000. I would run out of ideas fast.
Before we dive in, I made this blog's robot term more of an umbrella, so I include cyborgs (half human). Makes a life a bit easier.
For guys, we like cool robots like Franky and Optimus Prime. Think of Megas XLR, where you just watch robots destroying stuff. That's pretty much for male robots, carnage and destruction in a bad ass way. (Unless you're talking about Bender. He's an exception.)
We dig female robots for being cool, sexy, and cold. Some are pretty cute. Androids are popular in anime. You mostly see female versions: kicking ass in DBZ or being your best friend in Chobits.
I wish I done research and interview folks on Twitter like I did for uniform and glass fetish friday blogs. What I got on Google was a game called Girls Like Robots which didn't help me. As I was searching online, I remember a Giant Bomb user named Sparklykiss. In the Pass The Whiskey - Episode 9: PsEG Must Die, she had a huge crush on Cyborg because he was cool and good looking.
In the end, there is not much difference between genders and their love for robots and cyborgs. I guess I had that misassumption from One Piece where the girls and women don't understand why guys in One Piece love robots. Every time, Franky shows off especially in Punk Hazard arc. Guys would go "Awesome!" while the gals go "eh?" I don't know why there is a gender disparity. That's why I had the same thoughts in this blog. Why women love robots? was in my head. Oh well, I find the answers soon.
It pop up in my head when I was doing this blog.
If you're curious about the Pygmalion thing, it's a play written by Bernard Shaw. I was in British Literature (yeah, it was an actual class in high school for 12th grade. I don't know why we had that in American high school in the first place). My British teacher would force us to read a lot of plays. This play was memorable because it was the only thing I liked. If I remember correctly, Pygmalion is based on the concept on making the perfect woman. There was a Greek myth about this guy who built a beautiful woman from a statue. Venus or some goddess animated the statue after seeing the guy obsess over this statue.
It relates to the robot thing because we building the perfect person, the perfect husband or Waifu, if you must. That's the big thing in Chobits. Sorry for messing up.
I need to fact check this.
Here are my choices for most sexiest robots. I also included a friend's list here.
Thank you for reading everyone. Please feel free to share your most sexiest robots in anime and manga!
I put Chii on my list because I came into Chobits during my time on Anime Vice. She's damn cute. Plus, she puts the taboo in robot fetish. In that franchise, folks were loving Persocoms more than their humans.
She's pretty much the most bad ass chick in Dragon Ball franchise and on most folks' favorite DBZ women lists. Cell saga is pretty much the best arc in Dragon Ball Z in my book.
She's from If Her Flag Breaks, a harem show. It was the first I seen a robot and a trap in a harem. It was pretty unique. Ruri didn't get much spotlight. She went into cute, chibi mode and then, ninja mode at the end of the series. That was it.

She's like the Homer version (Iron Man) or Alfred Pennyworth version. I didn't know she was a robot when I first saw Big O. I never had a chance to complete the series.
I would thank Dekken for giving me suggestions, so I made a separate list to honor my dear friend. He has a bigger list than me.
She's from Asobi ni Ikuyo.
She's a support android with the appearance of a ten year old girl from Divergence Eve.
She's the servant and sex robot/computer of Akira Takaoka. from I Dream of Mimi.
She is a student of St. Cargo All-Girl Academy in the Medaka Box series.
Motoko is an intelligent and talented cyborg with a secretive past. Known as "The Major", she is the leading field agent of Public Security Section 9, and the protagonist in the Ghost in the Shell franchise.
She's "mecha musume" with the ability to Scan people and things to gather more information about them. An informant who carries a lot of data in her body.
I got into Casshern Sins due to Toonami's revival on Adult Swim. Casshern Sins was a good watch for me. I never had exposure to older anime series. Casshern is on my list for being cool and good looking at the same time. I mean Casshern attracts a lot of female robots. There was romance in this series and plenty of unrequited love, too.
I played Megaman during middle school, the 2nd and 3rd game on the GBA. I got into Megaman NT Warriors which makes my first anime series for the franchise. Megaman reminds me of a younger version of Optimus Prime. Lan was the main character who experience character development.
I got into One Piece and finally caught up after a year long marathon. Franky is the rock star for younger children. He would make them go "Super!"
Franky is a combination of Bender (his pervertedness) and Megaman (his badass mode) into a Hentai Cyborg!
