Hey everyone, this is like a bootleg version of the Quick Picks that BigHeart711 and I do for US manga and anime releases. Plus, this idea was inspired by FinalDasa's weekly poster roundup. Now this time, it's all about magazines from Japan. Some magazines are release a month earlier like Megami and Nyantype.

I'm not an expert since I cannot read Japanese. The only magazine projects I can do without learning Japanese is Megami and Nyantype because the issue numbers are easy enough to follow and keep track. Weekly Shonen Sunday and Shonen Jump are big and confusing.

Now then, let's go over these awesome magazine covers I found. I might not recognize a lot of the characters here. I don't watch a lot of anime or read a lot of manga.

  • Name: Dengeki Daoh
  • Publisher: ASCII Media Works
  • 電撃大王 2013年 11月号
  • Release Date: 2013/9/27
The character on the poster is Manaka Mukaido from Nagi no Asukara.
Same magazine as above, but this one was released on 10/26/2013. I don't know who is the poster girl. I'm guessing it's Kōko Kaga from Golden Time. Don't take my word for it.

I put the September version because I'm a big fan of Nagi no Asukara.
Megami #163
Megami #163
These 2 poster gals are Mami Tomoe and Nagisa Momoe from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. would be happy to see two Madoka themed magazines.

Hello everyone! I'm Taka, your neighborhood wiki editor. Due to the recent issues with Anime Vice's wiki scope, I realize we don't have a lot of manhwa series in our manga database. I have been adding any manga series in the database since I met PikaHyper, a Comic Vine mod, who added tons of manga series to our database back in February. I'm taking his role and adding manga series that are adaptations of the new anime seasons such as Fall 2013 and American releases (I use Anime News Network's catalog). I'm hoping to expand the list of Manhwa series we have in Anime Vice. I don't see them much in Anime News Network's latest manga releases catalog.

This year, I only added two Manhwa series due to requests:

I'm hoping you wiki editors out there add Manhwa series that you have read. We will build a list of Manwha series together.

For those who are new, Manhwa comics are like manga, but it's made in Korea. Manhua is Chinese comics. If you need help with Korean names, please check this thread: Korean Names FAQ.

For a full list of all the Manhwa series in Anime Vice, please see my list. The second post is a short glimpse of the list.

Hello everyone, I'm Taka, a wiki editor who is a big Fairy Tail fan. I would do this in the Fairy Tail Discussion (Anime) threads, but I didn't want to bore folks with the wiki. Plus, this is something I need to address. While I was approving wiki edits being a new mod, I seen folks asking me to change names of the characters such as Fairy Tail and Naruto. The mods told me that we use official translations from official manga publishing companies if possible. Not all manga series are licensed. And not all licensed manga series are available in other countries.

Sources for you to check

  • Official Manga Website or Publishing Companies (IE: Viz Media) - This is a viable option for those who don't have access to the hard copies.
  • Anime News Network - same as above
  • Public Library

I didn't put down Wikipedia because sometimes they use names spelled differently from the official publishers.

Yesterday, I took a trip to the public library, and I didn't know where to start. I just took the most recent volumes that were available. In the future, I just visit Barnes and Noble. Though, I won't be able to scan the manga pages. My camera cannot zoom in close to capture the text. Sometimes, the official websites have those solicits, short manga synopsis, that may have the names.

Name Changes

  • Tenrou Island is translated as Sirius Island. I was surprised since Crunchyroll used Tenrou Island.
  • Meldy was Meredy in Fairy Tail Wikia. When I check the hard copies, I see they changed to Merudy.
  • Ultear is Ultear Milkovich. I think we forgot to add her last name. I will do that since I'm now a mod.
  • Checked Zoldeo. It's Zoldio.

This is a shout out to active Fairy Tail editors in the community.

Sentai Filmworks will release the series on DVD and Blu-ray on Nov. 19

Editor's Note: If I find an English dub trailer, I will post it for you guys and gals.

Naoe Riki was a boy living on the brink of despair. The one to reach out to him was Natsume Kyousuke, a just boy who called himself the leader of the "Little Busters." Every day from then on was like an endless carnival, and the pain in Riki's heart slowly ebbed away. A few years later, the five of them are living in the same school dorm, still living every day like a carnival. But when Kyousuke starts to look for a job, Riki worries that the five friends will drift apart. "Let's start a baseball team. We'll call it... the Little Busters!"
