Chaika - Coffin Princess has concluded its run for the Spring Anime season of 2014. It will be coming on October 2, 2014 for the Fall 2014 season. Boy, I really love this anime series.
If you haven't seen Chaika yet, go see it now especially if you love fantasy and action series. I easily mistaken it for a Shonen series back then.
Here's the summary:
Chaika - The Coffin Princess revolves around a trio: a young female wizard named Chaika and the Saboteur siblings, Toru and Akari, who assist Chaika in retrieving her father's remains. Chaika wishes to give her father a proper burial. Her father is Emperor Gaz who had been slain by the eight heroes, and as a result, his empire had been dismantled. Individual countries are now managed by the Kliemann Organization during the post war period. There are individuals who will stop Chaika and her gang from her goals while there are others who compete with her in taking her father's remains.
In Japan, there will be a Blu-Ray/DVD on June 27, 2014.
Here are Thank You sketches from Masui, the director, and Arai, the character designer:
I will lock this thread in favor of the Hitsugi no Chaika Discussion. This would be a news blog.
One of the top manga series in Anime Vice's Top 20 Manga Series of 2013 is getting an anime adaptation. The anime studio is Lerche, the director is Seiji Kishi, the writer is Makoto Uezu, and the character designer is Kazuaki Morita.
The anime is announced to hit 2015.
For those who are new to the series, here is a synopsis by Viz Media who had acquired the license to the manga series:
A humorous and action-packed story about a class of misfits who are trying to kill their new teacher – an alien octopus with bizarre powers and super strength! The teacher has just destroyed the moon and is threatening to destroy the earth – unless his students can destroy him first. What makes things more complicated is that he's the best teacher they've ever had! The bimonthly ongoing series will also be available digitally.
Shout out to, wiki editor of the series.
Welcome everyone! This week's selection is a bit small. The titles that caught my eye are Ranma 1/2 and School Days. I tried Ranma 1/2 when Hal, SamJaz, and I were doing the Ranma Character Spotlight while School Days, I watched it in fall 2013 on a Veteran's Day. I wouldn't watch School Days again. I might want to catch up on Ranma 1/2, seeing how I only watched 20 or so episodes.
I would love to hear your recommendations on these series. All comments are welcome. Thank you.
Disclaimer: I'm just promoting the official release and the publishers. I'm not selling you anything. This is to combat piracy and get fans to support the official release. All summaries are from ANN.
