Overview

Welcome to the Weekly Fairy Tail report! I'm Taka, and I'm here to discuss Fairy Tail's episodes with you fans and my teammates. In this episode, Gray and Ultear continue their fights, and Ultear learns the truth behind her tragic life.

Teammates: Annabanana, Daniel_Newton, Wales, Obscurefan, and Obsididan609.

Plot

Ep. 116: Power of Life - "Seinaru Chikara" (生なる力)

Ultear and baby Ur
Ultear and baby Ur

Gray and Ultear continue their battle, and Ultear's origin story is revealed. After Ultear learns the truth, Fairy Tail guild members devise a plan to split up into two teams, an attack team to take down the enemy while a defending team to protect the injured.

Verdict

Beware of Spoilers!

Good

Ultear's Ice Make Rosen Krone
Ultear's Ice Make Rosen Krone
  • Another origin story is revealed, Ultear's past is full of sorrow and misunderstandings. Ur and Brain makes another appearance.
  • Gray and Ultear's battle is awesome and how it transitions from Ultear using Time Ark to using Ice Make is nice and smooth.
  • Gray gets the spotlight in this episode and has a new attribute to his Ice Make moves, blood.
  • Juvia's Funny Scene: How she just wake up so quickly upon hearing Gray's voice is pretty funny. Poor Meldy. She got chased by a crazy, love-sick ice woman.

Bad

There's not much bad stuff to report.

Bizarre

Strange Censorship
Strange Censorship
  • It's strange that Fairy Tail is finally showing blood or some of it. First, it is purple. They couldn't make it red, but the Gray's ice did turn red. Make up your mind with the censorships, Fairy Tail!
  • Ultear describes the ocean as being "inside" of her mother. (My memory may be foggy, so I check if she actually say this) That's how Ur send the truth to Ultear.
  • Virgo's Fan Service: Hiro Mashima is not shy by showing off his works in a naughty pose. Fairy Tail is full of fan service and action. Virgo seems to attract more love from the fans than Lucy. Look at the altercation of the Tower of Heaven's battle in anime and manga.

Rave Master References:

  • Hamrio Musica fights against Reina. Both are Silver Claimers.
  • Gray Fullbuster fights against Ultear (and Lyon). Both are Ice Make mages. The differences between Reina and Ultear is that Ultear has another magic, Time Ark, and Reina hunts Musica to avenge her father's death. Ultear doesn't seek vengeance against Gray.

Overall, this episode gets a five out of five. Gray and Ultear have a brilliant battle, and it's a nice change from Erza and Azuma's battle.

Thanks

I thank you guys and gals for reading my team's report, and I thank my team for their support. They are busy with school and work, so wiki editing is out of the question. I must be insane to keep doing this with a full course load.

Wiki Work Progress: I mainly work on episodes. I finished ep. 116 and 117.

Overview

Hello everyone and welcome to the Weekly Beelzebub report! I'm Taka, your average wiki editor and part of the Beelzebub team. The last episode of Beelzebub was a filler, and this week, we get another filler with two stories. Let's see if episode 53 is good or not.

*I had to shorten Baby Beelzebub's First Conquest/Furuichi Falls In Love. It's such a long title.

Teammates: Annabanana, ShadowKnight508, Sreenivas, and Arrussel.

Plot

Ep. 53: Baby Beelzebub's First Conquest/Furuichi Falls In Love - "Akachan beruzebubu-hatsu no seifuku/ Furuichi wa koiniochiru" (赤ちゃんベルゼブブ初の制服/古市は恋に落ちる)

1st Story: When Hilda gets a request from the demon king about filming Beel's first conquest, she, Oga, and the others follow Beel on his quest.

2nd Story: Even though Furuichi's home has been destroyed, Furuichi's life brightens a bit when he meets a girl who he believes likes him. Will Furuichi get a girlfriend?

Find out by watching Beelzebub!

Verdict

Beware of Spoilers!

New Characters
Yuko
Yuko
Yoko is a ghost girl. She asks Johnny who is possessing Furuichi.
Johnny
Johnny
Johnny is a shy ghost guy who had to use Furuichi to talk to Yoko. He finally confess to Yoko, and the two go into the afterlife.

Good

Don't ever change your perverted self, Furuichi
Don't ever change your perverted self, Furuichi
  • Baby Beel finally shows that he is a man in this episode as he conquers Furuichi's house and lay waste to everyone in his way. However, that's not the case. Beel only conquer one thing by himself, a pit bull who wants his milk. I thought that Beel is going to use his glare or his electric attacks. Instead, Beel pees on the dog. Sometimes, Beelzebub is just unpredictable.
  • For Furuichi, don't ever change your perverted side.
  • Speaking of "firsts," this episode shows Beelzebub's first conquest and the first girl who is interested in Furuichi.
  • Furuichi and Nene's Relationship:
It's interesting to see Nene giving Furuichi, a fruit punch. However, Furuichi ruins the moment by asking her to give the one that she had drank from. That is a good ending to this episode.

Bad

Demon Lord's an attention whore
Demon Lord's an attention whore
  • This episode is much better than the last episode, And There Were No Delinquents. The only bad thing I can think is that fans want Beelzebub to resume its track to main storyline. It has been two filler episodes, and #54 is a filler too.
  • Too much fillers in a row is not good for Beelzebub.

Bizarre

Furuichi's Embarrassing Moments
Furuichi's Embarrassing Moments
  • If you looked closely when Furuichi and Yuko talk in the nurse's office in Nene's point of view, you can see Yuko's feet is transparent. I didn't catch it until I watched it twice to do the wiki work.
  • Furuichi's Lewd Conducts #3: Furuichi has another dirty scene; this time it's with a guy! Alaindelon finally gets Furuichi in a lewd position, and poor Honoka had to see Furuichi and Alaindelon together. She saw her brother being a pedophile to Lamia, and now she sees Furuichi is getting on with a man.
  • Bastard Father: Beel's father is a lot like Lord En. It's a good thing that Beel is becoming more like Oga. Beel's father is an attention whore.

Overall, this episode gets a four out of five. It's a funny episode, but it lacks the action. Plus, it's the second filler in the row. It had bad timing.

Thanks

Thank you everyone for reading my team's weekly reports, and I thank my team for doing their best in their studies while juggling wiki work with lots of things.

Wiki Work Progress: I finished episode 53's wiki page. I didn't have time to work on characters since I had to add a lot of Shoujo manga series with some of the coolest wiki editors. ShadowKnight508 is busy working on One Piece while the rest of team are busy. We're all busy with school.

Overview

Hello, everyone and welcome to the Weekly Guilty Crown report! I'm Taka, a teammate of KuroNekoXIII (Kuro for short). After Guilty Crown has given the spotlight to two of Funeral Parlor's heroines ( Ayase and Tsugumi), Shu and Hare have a special episode this week that takes the series back to its roots, war with tears and rage.

Plot

Ep. 15: Confession: Sacrifice - "Kokuhaku: Sacrifice" (告白:Sacrifice)

Shu is trying figure out which to choose, Yahiro's Void Ranking System or something else to avoid discrimination everyone. Yet, Hare comforts him and confesses that she loves him. When Souta goes out to prove he is not weak, he endangers Hare and the others.

Will Shu be able to save everyone's lives?

Verdict

Beware of Spoilers!

Good

Hare's death is Shu's crucial point of change
Hare's death is Shu's crucial point of change
  • This is one of the most saddest episodes because another major character dies in this story, Hare Menjou. After her love confession to Shu, she dies while trying to revive him.
  • Shu's change is very dramatic after Hare's death. He is no longer the kind king that Hare dreams of. Ironically, he becomes more like Gai. After he gives Souta a beating he deserves, he tells everyone with this quote:
  • "I was wrong. Kindness is pointless."

  • Hare's origin story is revealed.

Who to Blame?: Shu is very indecisive which causes Souta to go over there and endanger students. Shu's character have so many flaws. He's weak, shy, and indecisive. Now, he has seen a loved one died in his arms. He has truly lost his innocence.

It's up to you to decide. Souta is a dumb friend, but Shu takes all responsibility since he is going to be "king."

Bad

Rape of Inori
Rape of Inori
  • No tribute to Hare Menjou. Some animes like Sket Dance do a compilation of the character. I think both Hare and Gai deserve a tribute. The Euterpe song would definitely fit Hare's death. "Silent night" brings the chilling atmosphere of war.
  • Comparing to Gai's episode where he dies, Hare's episode is not rushed. Everything goes along with the flow.
  • Shu's treatment of Inori is downright appalling. It looks like rape. In fact, Shu breaks his promise not to use his friends as tools. Poor Inori. I thought this series is heading towards a romance, but I was wrong. Looks like tragedy will fall upon this series.

Overall, this episode gets a five out five because it's not rushed and shows dramatic character changes in Shu. Plus, this episode is a stark contrast to the other two episodes due its mood. Guilty Crown is finally getting more darker and mature.

Tribute to Hare Menjou and Quotes

Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

I like Menjou because she doesn't have much flaws. She's always kind. Some people call her the Orihime of Guilty Crown because she has big breasts and heal. Yet, I find that ludicrous and that statement a bit condescending to Hare. Hare truly sacrificed herself to save Shu, she fights to save everyone, and she confesses her feelings to Shu. It takes a lot of courage to do that.

Memorable Quotes

  • Hare's Confession:
"And I love that you don't go around declaring things."
  • Hare's Origin Story: "Hey, Shu... Have you ever read a picture book called The Kind King? The king was really kind...He gave everyone money... and land...until finally... the country was gone.
  • Hare's Origin Story cont.: "You're like that king, Shu...the way you lose out because of your kindness...You know what? I think you're going to be a great king. So...
  • Hare's Last Words: "Shu...I'll give you... my..."
  • Shu: "I was wrong. Kindness is pointless."

I see the bitter irony behind Hare's words. Shu is not the kind king anymore. The way he treats Inori and Souta like tools is evident of his change.

Shu has lost his innocence. (Check out the Loss of Innocence page)

Thanks

I thank you guys for reading this, and I thank my teammate, Kuro, for doing an awesome job on the weekly reports and wiki pages. Overview

Welcome to the Weekly Sket Dance report! I'm Taka, a member of Team W.I.K.I Nation. For those who do not know my teammates, they are Annabanana, KuroNekoXIII, MohsinMan99, Sora_thekey, Hibaru, Halberdierv2, and Piface314. After a funny episode with Momoka and Roman last week, we are treated with the episode about Hime. Sweet, we get two straight episodes in a row about three girls.

Plot

Ep. 43 - Bashful Girl/ Embarrassed Girl

Hime X Bossun
Hime X Bossun

Hime saves Jin from thugs, and Jin, who is smitten by Hime, believes that Hime is his dream girl (based on a fortuneteller's predictions). Jin continues to pester HIme for a date. When Hime tries to tell Jin to back off by saying she has a boyfriend named Bossun, she has to prove it by taking Bossun out to a date. Will Hime survive her date with Bossun?

Find out by watching Sket Dance!

Verdict

Beware of Spoilers!

New Character

Jin Kakiuchi
Jin Kakiuchi
Jin Kakiuchi - He's a freshmen student who falls in love with Hime because the fortuneteller states his dream girl has blonde hair and a blue object. Unlike Bossun, he loves Hime for who she is.

Good

Jin: Marry me, Hime!
Jin: Marry me, Hime!
  • Jin is a new character who adds on to Sket Dance's wacky roster. I love how persistent Jin is.
  • The date in this episode is really hysterical as Hime tries to convince Jin that she and Bossun are a couple. How Hime mess up reflects her tough exterior.
  • The ending to this episode is great as Hime and the gang go off to the amusement park.

Bad

  • This episode is great. I don't have much bad stuff to report. I notice some inconsistencies with Hime's body when she hits the thugs and Jin.

Bizarre

Bossun's cute girl impression
Bossun's cute girl impression
  • Switch can type with his feet, and he makes a musical note during his plan with Hime.
  • Hime reminds of Aoi Kunieda of Beelzebub. Both girls are tough girls, blush a lot, and have a relationship with the main male protagonist that could develop into to love.
  • Bossun's impression of a cute girl is pretty good. Bossun's good at drawing, figuring mysteries, and now, impersonations.

Overall, this episode gets a five out of five. It's a hilarious episode about love and plays around the Bossun X Hime theme. Also, it's a relatable story to us all who cannot ask the girl/boy of our dreams to go out. Bossun seems to be oblivious to Hime's feelings.

Hime blushes so much in this episode. It's cute.
