Powerscaling works if the official power levels are clearly stated.

There were people on this site claiming that DB tien could beat EoS yusuke, and thats ridiculous if we don't take powerscaling into consideration

The strongest YYH character is around 4000 times stronger than Sensui according to the official power levels.

I think ichigo can win this if he hits Goku with mugetsu. He also has the strength advantage over Goku.

@GrayWolf2: However Krillin, Roshi and Yamcha were all fine yet they didn't come to help Goku because they knew they would be useless in the fight. Even if it lowers their power, by how much? If not moon level, they should atleast be able to blow up half or one fourth of the moon.

My argument is not only that Roshi can't moon bust, but rather the moon in DB is easier to blow up. Its because-

1. It appears to be much closer and smaller.

2. Roshi can blow up the moon, yet he can't beat the RRA weaklings or blow up their base.

3. Piccolo's beam reaches the moon in seconds yet Raditz dodges it, but the same Raditz fails to dodge gohan's headbutt....so this would make kid Gohan FTL, which is impossible.

4. King Piccolo is stated to be only a city buster. He even brags about city busting as if its a big thing.

(Keep in mind, the amount of energy required to blow up a city is only about 1 MT while it takes 30,000,000,000,000 MT to destroy the real moon.)

5. The moon in DB is different. It has oxygen and even gravity on it

This is why I don't consider anyone blowing up the moon before the late Saiyan Saga to be legit. The moon in DB must be smaller, closer and much easier to destroy.

@GrayWolf2: Even if they were drained, they were still far stronger than Tien, Roshi, Krillin, Yamcha etc. Infact so much that Tien considered himself useless in that fight.

Do you really think being drained a little will reduce their power from "MOON" to city level?

To me, the moon busting part doesn't seem legit, because Roshi himself admits that he can't even beat the street level red ribbon army

1. The durability part is already clear. Goku tanked King Piccolo's signature attack, which is arguably even stronger than Roshi's "moon" buster. Yet he was unable to tank the stone.

2. Thats once again an inconsistency. The force behind the object depends only on its mass and speed ie. KE = 1/2*m*v^2. Even if the stone was thrown at lightspeed, its potency will still only be country level.

So finally it comes down to which part of the canon you consider in the debate. If you consider the moon busting to be legit, then Goku wins. If you consider the stone part to be legit, then Ichigo wins

That was a normal stone he picked up from the ground and it fractured Goku's arm. Unless you believe that stone has enough potency to destroy the moon, we can't classify him as moon level in DC/durability.

I think the moon in DB is different as it appears much closer and even has air and gravity on it.

And kid goku who is far far stronger than Roshi (a "moon" buster) gets his leg broken by a stone.

DB has more inconsistencies than any manga I've ever read.

If you use power levels, then even kid goku's power level is much higher than Roshi

23rd Budokai Goku is a Moon Buster not a Island buster.

Even King Piccolo is much stronger than Roshi yet he is only a city buster.

Even Kid goku (KP saga) was much stronger than Roshi, yet he gets his leg fractured by a stone.

Finally, Roshi himself admitted that he can't take on the red ribbon army's base, so by that logic even the RRA would be moon busters.
