Anime Series I Have Watched
1. Clannad

(August 2010 - October 2010) -- I was inspired to watch anime by Persona 4, which is why my first ever show was a high-school show. Through beginner's luck, I happened to pick one of the best high-school shows ever! I immediately fell in love with Clannad, and it continues to be one of my favourites.

2. Clannad After Story

(October 2010 - November 2010) -- I thought Clannad was pretty awesome, but After Story is really where the show shines. Going from a quirky and fun show about high-schoolers into a dramatic heart-wrenching show about a man facing adulthood, Clannad really showed me the power of the medium.

3. Kanon (2006)

(November 2010 - December 2010) -- After Clannad, Kanon was a big disappointment. It was the show Key made right before they made, and to me it really seems like when they made Clannad they looked at Kanon and just made every single aspect better. Which meant watching it right after Clannad was a terrible idea. I never really hated watching it, but it's definitely my least favourite show of the ones I've finished.

4. School Days

(December 2010) -- I actually saw the very ending of School Days before I started watching the show, which made watching it a very interesting experience. Of course this meant the end didn't have as much of an impact on me, but it did was kind of cool knowing from the beginning where the show was going, and just seeing how it got there.

5. Angel Beats!

(December 2010) -- Angel Beats is a perfect example of the emotional story combined with light-hearted humour mix that is present in all my favourite shows. All the characters are interesting in their own ways, and the gripping story really captivated me. Simply fantastic.

6. Durarara!!

(December 2010 - February 2011) -- Durarara is a hard show to describe in one paragraph. It's really the characters that make this show so great, and the way they all come together and interact throughout the events of the show. I also have to mention that the music if absolutely fantastic, and I actually listen to the soundtrack outside of the show, which I haven't done with any other anime soundtrack.

7. Oreimo

(March 2011) -- This show is just really fun. The story is kind of ridiculous, but at it's heart this show is really just about trying to balance all your passions in life. And I swear, it's not as creepy as the name makes it seem.

8. Soul Eater

(March 2011) -- Soul Eater is the first combat/action-oriented show I've ever watched. I love it because it doesn't take itself seriously at all, it is a cartoon through and through. Yeah, it's kinda childish, but it's also a lot fun so who cares.

9. Highschool of the Dead

(April 2011) -- This is the first show I've started and don't plan on finishing. I got most of the way through, but the incredibly blatant fan-service just really got to me. I knew that it was going to be like that from the very start, and it didn't start to bother me until the story really stopped making up for it. I found Episode 8 just really dumb, and stopped watching partway through Episode 9. It was pretty cool before that though.

10. Lucky Star

(April 2011) -- Cute, silly, and generally enjoyable.

11. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

(April 2011 - May 2011) -- Not much new to say about this one: great characters, interesting story-lines, just overall a great show.

12. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

(May 2011) -- Disappearance is definitely my favourite part of Haruhi Suzumiya. It really delivers on everything the anime set up, and I love the direction they took with the story.

13. Myself ; Yourself

(June 2011) -- Really generic at the beginning, but the last three episodes make this anime actually slightly interesting. Generally forgettable, probably the only things I'll take away from this show is how much I despise Aoi's voice actor, and how awesome the ending song is.

14. Spice and Wolf

(July 2011)

15. anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day

(July 2011) -- My favourite anime yet. I cried my eyes out at the end.

16. Toradora

(July - August 2011) --

17. K-On!

(August 2011)

@UsachanMaN: Thanks! Clannad is awesome, I'm so glad it was my first anime. I'm going through Kanon right now; starting to notice a lot of similarities between the two...

Yup :D  It is. its my favourite anime!
the makers of clannad made these series as well:
Air, Kanon, Angel beats.
Air and Kanon are very similar to Clannad, but nothing tops clannad, in my opinion :D
and Angel beats is random and funny, with its sad moments.
so if u like their anime, check those out as well :D

@UsachanMaN: I was actually thinking of watching Angel Beats already, but I had no idea it was made by Key. All the more reason to watch it!
