It was early morning, as the warm rays of the sun started to evaporate the morning dew drops on the forest trees. Nature was starting come alive in Kloven Forest that was located 2 miles north of a small town named Lochpin. On the marked forest trail the supernatural detective Solstice Summer Eve was traveling along with her young assistant Lance Gibson. A warm smile came across the raven haired sorceress face as she was taking in the surroundings. She could see a flock birds fly around a small part of the forest like they were recently disturbed by something big. “Interesting” the raven haired sorceress thought to herself. However Lance was not too happy getting up early in the morning and started to pout. “Solstice.,, ugh c’mon we have been walking for an hour with no break;” Lance said in an agitated manner. Solstice stopped and looked behind her towards Lance and asked him “What happened to those fatigue shedding insoles I made for you?” Lance looked around and smiled nervously as he placed his hands behind his head. "Well uhhh you see Solstice I left them inside the sanctum.” Solstice merely rolled her eyes at Lance “So you are basically telling me the reason your feet hurt is because you were irresponsible.” Lance looked down on the ground in disgust as Solstice continued to scold him. “How can I trust you with bigger tasks and responsibilities in the future if you bungle around with the smaller things? Walk ten more minutes and then we will take a break. Move at a brisk pace through I want to be in Lochpin by lunch time.” Lance believed that was a fair deal and nodded his head in approval.
Solstice and Lance finally made it out of the Kloven Forest. The duo could see the small town of Lochpin on the distance. Alright Lance we can take that break you needed so badly,” Solstice joked. Lance wasted little time and sat under a large Oak tree while grabbing some snacks out of his bag. Solstice also sat underneath the oak tree with Lance and conjured her special journal and pen. She began to take note on what she saw in the forest trying to let her mind brainstorm on her speech she was scheduled to give at Gideon Magic Academy, her old school. As she began to jot down her thoughts she could see a man running towards the duo from the distance; from the direction of Lochpin. The man was average in build appearing to be in his early forties wearing a fisherman’s outfit. As he gazed towards Solstice he immediately stopped in his tracks. Panting trying to catch his breath he walked over towards the duo. “You…I-I have seen you before..in..in my dreams.” Solstice looked at Lance with sort of a confused and Lance did the same to her. Solstice then turned to the man and responded in a tongue and cheek like manner to the fisherman. “You had a dream with me in it, that’s interesting do I get the name for my admirer” Solstice giggled. The fisherman blushed, and answered stumbling some in his words. No… miss I mean uhhh it wasn’t perverse I assure you. The name is Donahue miss, Mason Donahue. Solstice extended her hand greetings along with Lance and introduced themselves. “My name is Solstice Summer Eve, and this is my assistant Lance Gibson.”
“Miss Summer Eve, the dream or rather nightmare I had was pretty vague I only can recall bits and pieces. It was you, some other young folks, some Lochpin landmarks monsters, and water…lots of water.” Mason told Solstice and Lance. Solstice began to think putting her hand on her chin. "If you saw me in a dream or in this case nightmare it could possibly be some sort of vision. But how a fisherman from would Lochpin have a vision of me when I have never been there? Mr. Donahue I believe we should look into this. Solstice rose up from the ground and her body turned transparent into a large gust of wind. The wind was strong enough to carry Lance and Mason back to Lochpin at high rate of speed. Solstice carefully placed both Lance and Mason on the ground near the pier. Solstice then reverted back into her physical form, but her trail walking attire was changed into a more casual nature; a low cut red blouse with white jeans and red walking boots. Solstice’s ruby Red Crescent moon earring sparkled beautifully in the rays of the sun. In the distance she could see some young couples being carefree in the small town along with other residences of town. However deep down Solstice could feel something off about this place. There was an evil lurking about, but the question was where is it coming from?
@Shadowchaos: Even though Jason was in Mission mode you still have find a way to acknowledge you other players in your posts. Kita was a mean hateful power hungry b*tch, but still as a writer I made her acknowledge the other characters/players around me. It makes the overall experience better for everyone in the long run.
@Shadowchaos: Well I'm talking to just you necessarily just to everyone involved. Solstice arrived a few minutes before it all started though that's not my point. I'll give you an example of what I am a talking about. Say Jason was haven a gunfight with someone in the woods. Solstice walks in those same woods 20 yards away from the gunfight wearing some headphones and they are real loud she can't hear anything thing. So she walks through the wood not knowing what was going on. Yes it's believable, but as a writer I pretty much ignored whatever it is you were doing staying in my own bubble. That approach is fine, but if you want to build something special I would write something like this. When Jason was having a gunbattle and one of the richotte bullets nailed Solstice's IPod headphones causing them to break. I would write the proper reaction to that and possibly investigate.
@Shadowchaos: The first things to keep in mind when RPing in something like this is being courteous. That is the very first thing you have to remember to do. And what I mean by that is putting the other characters in the rp ahead of your own for a brief moment. When I write a post one of the first things I try to do is figure out how my character can interact with the others in story. I don't care what the threat is or how powerful your character is. Kita is powerful enough to rip Satan's Head off, but as a writer I made her acknowledge in so kind of way what the other characters around her were doing as well. It's a way of writing to be not stuck in bubble.
@Shadowchaos: No one noticed that a strange gale of wind was carrying two people..odd. It's not necessarily seeing the character, but acknowledging their presence. An example of this is in my last post. where I mentioned a disturbance in a flock of birds in the nearby forest probably something big in the area. Solstice was in a way acknowledging Jason's presence when he landed his mech over there even though she doesn't know exactly what it is. It is a style of writing that can make you a great RPG'er in the long run.
@Shadowchaos: I know, Solstice is pretty much aware of Jason, Risa, Hal, Hagane, and ninja's character. Weird that no one has seen Solstice yet as she had an orthodox entrance, and appeared in vicinity of everyone:P There could have been the possibility of right wrongfully point her as the source of the mess. Just pointing out a chance of character interaction and development was missed.:)
