David Productions are the best studio. So cheesy and so perfect.

I ended up watching up to episode 7 for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure instead of waiting for Tom Pinchuk to do his W & L articles. It was hard to put down the anime and sleep last night.

It's an addicting show to watch.

Hell yeah! You're so close to one of the best main characters in all anime/manga. You'll definitely know when you get there.

Opening is GODDAMN HYPE. Visuals are so good and the song is growing on me after repeated viewings.

we get introduced to the first assassin in this episode, and I kid you not, his stands ability reminds me of another character from Medaka box that Kumagawa had to face in the last episode of the second season.

Nisio is a confirmed JoJo fanboy. He even wrote one of the 25th anniversary JoJo light novels.

Also I think one of the early Stardust volumes had a character bio on Jotaro that mentions him thinking that everyone can tell his emotions just by looking at him, so he never bothers to be anything other than his usual self. So far, I think only his mom has that ability, lol.

Episode 1 aired and was AMAZING. Also Crunchyroll added eps 1-9 of the first season, so all of the Phantom Blood arc!

The background music in those trailers is so damn boss. Also, the opening is going to be STAND PROUD by Jin Hashimoto, who apparently does some Kamen Rider themes. The ending is still unknown, but the first season's use of Roundabout by YES was kind of a secret (even though it was leaked) right up until airing. That's the thing that has me excited, did they license another classic rock song?

The recent episode had some really good role reversal, with the "villain" refusing to fight and wanting to have an open discussion, even though a bit naively idealistic, and the "hero" trying to goad him into combat, before being swayed himself. It's really good , and I really enjoy the way Togashi subverts some of the usual shonen expectations.

Youpi is interesting because he's mentally evolving as the invasion has gone on. Going from only just following the King's orders and never thinking for himself to losing control, regaining control, faking Knuckle out, etc, is pretty great for the most "simple" of the 3 Guards. Extra scary though, when combined with his shapeshifting, extreme strength and huge aura pool.

@Marshal Victory:

The manga actually has a little timer in the corner showing the time each event takes place (since it's all happening at the same time). Also Zeno was lamenting his attack striking Komugi. He takes pride in his job, fucking up and hurting a non-target is probably a blemish on his pride.

Cheetu's last moments are hilarious and so fitting of him. He tries so hard to make himself be more than just an idiot chump and still he goes out like a no-name fodder ant.

Knuckle is definitely one of my favorite HxH characters (along with Morel), and his scenes in this episode are great. "Screw the world and our plans, I'm gonna get my revenge for being humiliated! Oh shit never mind getting the fuck out of here. Okay let's try again!"

116 really shows a lot about what this arc has been about in regards to what "humanity" is. The King is slowly becoming more humanlike, thinking outside of his own royal "bubble" and figure out where he belongs in the world, and Pitou doing everything to save the life of another and yet you have Gon throwing himself away in favor of his rage, willing to kill his enemy without caring about the collateral damage (Komugi's surgery). Netero is presented as an almost God of battle, beyond any other humans shown. And everyone else, Ant and Human, are just trying to make sense of a crazy situation the only ways they know how.

And this episode makes Gon look almost villain-like, with the evil murderous creature being portrayed as a protective "mother". And that's fucking great.

It was inevitable with how well the first season sold, and I expect this season to sell even better. Those sales numbers will hopefully inspire a good budget increase.

Chapter 50:

So, Chuckles got torn up after we find out -why- everyone has been after Eren. So he can command Titans, or at least redirect them, much like Monkey Trouble (and both Eren and MT have elfish ears?) Also Hannes is dead (and it was quite horrible).

Good shit.

Episode 1 tried really hard to be intriguing and witty but I think it missed the mark pretty hard. The animation is really nice but it's just not enough for me to care. Main girl less a character more a collection of "moe" traits.

So has anyone seen the prototype chapter from 3 years before AoT started serialization? The art difference between the proto and AoT chap 1 is ridiculous. Even though everyone says AoT's art is terrible (I strongly disagree), the improvements he made in those 3 years is crazy.

@rubberluffy: @AnimeDefender: Having not read the manga beforehand, I freaking LOST MY SHIT when that chunk of wall fell away. After reading your comments, I checked the manga, and I can see why you'd be a little upset that they altered it a bit, but it makes sense for the anime.

Considering it's such a huge event, only for the anime to treat it like that, I'd rather them have just not even included it. The people who turn the show off when the credits hit aren't even going to see it, and I've seen posts by people who don't even know what it was supposed to be. For the whole series to be so full of bullshit padding and pointless filler scenes, for them to cut out the big moment like that is ridiculous.

The episode has some other problems, like how Levi is somehow miraculously ok despite the fact that he should still be out of commission.

You can ask me b/c I read the manga side by side. Ep. 24 covered chapter 32: Mercy and 33: The Wall. Usually, the anime covers 1.5 chapters, so I guess episode 25 covers 33 and some of chapter 34.

Actually I'd say the anime has been averaging 1 or less chapters an episode for a while. Episode 24 used like 2 pages from 33 and changed most of 32. 1.5 seems to be a good number for a monthly manga because of the larger page count, FMA:B averaged that for most of its run. On the other side, the recently finished Blood Lad covered 30 monthly chapters in 10 episodes.

Thankfully I've gotten back into the habit of reading manga (I've sorta drowned myself in probably 20+ ongoings, at the moment) to keep me occupied between waiting for new Titan and JoJolion chapters, since they're my two big ones. Only about 2 more weeks for the next Titan.
