I remember reading this series for a while a couple years back. It had an interesting premise but that's all I liked. It seemed overly drawn out, none of the plot points or cliffhangers were particuarly interesting and it has possibly one of the worst "romances" i've ever seen in a manga.

Don't think I've ever heard anyone call Angel Beats a K-on ripoff before, I really can't think of any similarities at all. People originally called Yurippe a Haruhi ripoff though.Angel Beats is mostly a comedy with some serious moments sprinkled throughout. Shame it wasn't a 26 episode show.

The Doctor only wins in his own show because the enemies he faces are content to let him monologue and then chase his down a hallway instead of just shooting on sight.But, with a year's prep he could easily beat them by creating a device like the one Bulma does.I'd say its 50/50. If the Androids get close they could blast him before he can even use the device.

@FoxxFireArt: It's actually Arc System Works who developed the gameplay while Atlus were in charge of the story. Arc are quite well known and have created quite a lot of popular 2D fighters, Guilty Gear, Blazblue, etc.

(Since you said you were surprised at how its turned out)Already planning to import it day 1, since I doubt it'll come out in the UK for a long time. Glad they got Akihiko in it, he's one of my favourite characters and he looks even better in this.

I quite liked the first episode, and the blue-ray was really high on the japanese preorder charts. I don't think I laughed once in episode 2 or 3 though, it's getting really repetitive already.

Still not got around to watching this, but I don't know anything about asecond series. my Anime list is a good site to look for quick info on a specific series.If you post on a series' forum it'll still appear on the main forum page which shows the latest activity, so you can create individual topics and people will still be able to see them easily.
