I remember my best friend told me one night that she thought all anime was Pokemon. I educated her.
Other than that, I usually just roll my eyes and walk away. It generally depends on their tone but anyone that narrow minded is usually not someone I want to hang out with anyway.

I've had to review some pretty terrible anime... I won't start an Eva debate since this really isn't the place for it but...
Debutante Detective Corps ranks right up there at the top for sure... Wild Cardz was pretty terrible, Virgin Fleet is gods awful, Amazing Nurse Nanako was pretty bad... I could go on and on but I won't.

I really only liked Dokuro-chan for the first half, after that it got really old. Now, Magical Witch Punie-chan.... that's a series that is already being vastly unappreciated and it needs a full season... like now. *waits*

I do think that Hirano is growing into a wonderful seiyuu but I don't know if she's a favorite yet. Her current role in Hyakko continues to impress me though and I can't stop laughing every time I hear her do Konata in Lucky Star.

I don't have any more recent images that I actually want to subject to public scrutiny but luckily my look has changed very little over the last couple of years so this one will have to do. Yes, I'm aware you can't see my face and you're better off that way anyway. Yes, that is my natural hair color and no, my hair is no longer that long... it's longer now.

This is a pretty hard one for me since there are soooooo many great themes out there that I could listen to endlessly.
Again, I'm a little tired so I'll probably add to this list later but I love 'Love Destiny' (Yui Horie) from Sister Princess.

I will agree with everyone who has said Naruto. I tried watching it but after hearing Naruto say 'Believe it!' eighty times within four episodes I was ready to throw something large and heavy towards my television just to get the little sod to STFU!
Other series that I think are vastly over rated: Evangelion and Blood+

Hm, well the number one series that springs to mind is my all time favorite: Princess Nine
This is definitely a series that didn't get nearly the attention on either side of the Pacific I think. It wasn't a 'technical masterpiece' or anything but over 26 episodes, the series did a fabulous job of developing strong characters and relationships. I could only imagine how many different and wonderful directions the series could have gone in if a second season had been green lit.

I added the rss feed from the index page but when I tried to open a couple of pages (i.e. the site/Gia's introduction, tutorials) directly from the feed I got prompted for username and password with the message:
