First of all let me say I had a great time. It was allot of fun. First thing I since I all ready bought my ticket in July at my local comic book shop is go get my badge and this is what it look like.
Isn't it cool looking!
Right after that I when I got my tickets to Autograph Session for Steve Blum and Chunk Huber. I wasn't that long of a wait because most people did even buy their tickets. That would not be the case for day Autograph ticketed event that happen on day two.
The first panel I when to is one called Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls: Customizations & More. let me start off has saying I hate Dolls that look like they can kill me while I sleep. I know that my sound a little much but when you look at these dolls you tell me.
Then I stay for the next panel and it was called How to make Manga. The person talking about manga at the this panel was David Doub. This panel was a bit misleading. It was more on the comic book side than manga, but he talk a little about this comic book called Dusk. It's about vampires. I know what you are thinking. Not another thing about vampires. This one not like Twiilight thank god. It more of day and life of a vampire. Which is really cool. Later on I when and bought a copy of the Dusk one shot comic and here it is.
The art inside is only ok.
Funny story is when I sign it I ask if it was extra for a sign copy he said yes and then said just kidding. I though that was funny.
Then it was time for the Q & A with Steve Blum. Here are some picture from the event.
Here s Steve Blum walking to the panel room.
This is still before the panel.
This is right before the start of the panel.
He was talking about wolverine and the x-men at this part of the panel.
He was talking about Cowboy Bebop at this point in the panel.
He was doing the voice of Leeron Littner from Gurren Lagann.
This is where he talks about when he did screamed a voice so loud that he past out in record booth for a voice acting gig.
For the record I don't like Gurren Lagann at all. Now why this is going on their was another panel I wish I could have when to. It was the Q & A with very hot cosplayer Yaya Han. I had to make I pick and I when with Steve Blum panel. Another thing that was good this panel is after words it was time for the Steve Blum Autograph time. What got me mad is everyone when into line and so did I, but they then took everyone one did told everyone that it was going by rows. That suck because before that I was in the first row and ending up the last row. I didn't make the same misake twice when I when to the autograph session of Steve Bium, Chunk Huber and Vic Mignogna. This also made me miss that last part of the Yaya Han panel. I made up for it when I when to her booth and got a couple of pictures of her.
She is so sexy.
If I had to die I would want to die this way.
I also got sign autograph for 10 bucks and it was worth it.
If she was wearing this outfit and would wanted to take 10 pictures of her. I love latex.
She sign it with OX to Paul. That was nice.
Opening Ceremonies stared at 5:00 P.M. I found that odd because the con open it's door at 12:00 P.M that day! I didn't go to that. I when that turned out to be train crash that was the Jolene Houser. She dose some web comic stuff, but she didn't talk about it and we did nothing the first 30 minutes of the panel. We try to get her to talk about her comic, but she didn't want to get into it. She started to talk about her favorite anime and she talked about Rose of Versailles and she didn't think about one else knew about it. I did and we talking about that for awhile. She was kind of cute and wanted to take her picture, but she said she dosen't not like people taking her picture during the panel. Oh well. I made up for it has you well see later in this blog.
Then it was time for the Lost Treasures panel. It was run by a guy named Join.
This is their set up before the panel.
The name of this panel was somewhat missleading. The first 30 minutes was some new stuff.
They showd Monoko Touyoko. I just saw the post on Anime Vice for this one. Then they showed Charger Gril. They also showed 5 Centimeters Per Second. I though that was odd becasue it was a Korea cartoon and not an anime. Then the last 30 minutes was about some old school anime the type I like. First they showed Ghost Sweeper. I going to check this one out.
I don't remeber the last names of the other ones. Sorry about that. Then came the History of Dubbing in Anime and Video Games Industry. I love English Dubs myself and I was looking forward to this panel, but the problem was that people running that panel didn't showed up. So I left and when to the Anime Jeopardy panel and the people that were going to run that panel didn't show up either. Word to the wise if your doing the a panel show up and do it. So they had a fill in for the panel and unlike Jolene Houser panel this guy knew how to full up time. He asked what are favorite anime is and what are favortie 2-D fighting game is. I also talked to guy who works for THQ and we talking about Saint Row 3 game their making.
Then after that their was a very good panel on the History of Gundam. The only thing not good about it is that their was a 40 year old otaku that keep adding stuff if not put more info about Gundam has the guy was trying to talk that was running the panel. I only heard about the obsession of some of he older Gundam and Robotech fans from podcast like Anime World Order. Specially when it came to the mechs and he make a hole out of himself at that panel. So that was day one.
Now on to day two. I got their early for the like to get tickets for Autograph session for Vic Mignogna, Steve Blum and Chunk Huber. I'm I got their an hour and half early for it because they only had 150 tickets to give away and their were 40 people in line when I got their.
I took this picture When I was in line. I never got a chance to get up close one with them.
The thing that suck about the autograph sessions is that you can only get two things sign by each person so I had split my signing with Steve Blum and by doing that I couldn't get a picture with him if I wanted to two things signed.
I when to the Q & A session with Steve , Chunk and Vic and since I was in front and next to the big speaker so I recorded some of the panel with my carema. The auto was great.
It only 14 minutes of the panel. Sorry about the shaking of the carema I was holding it in my hand. I hope in enjoy the video.
I find it funny when people have them sign stupid stuff like their art work or their shoes. I don't know about you I have stuff that they did for them to sign. Another cool thing about Vic is that he had some his band on CD to buy and he said he would sign that extra and I got three autographs and not just two. here the back of the CD cover.
Isn't really cute looking.
Now I when to the Maid Cafe for a couple of hours. We played keep the balloon from falling game and wake a mole. Their were playing Apples to Apples at a another table and I wanted to play but I got stuck playing balloon tossing and wake a mole game. If you wanted to know why I stayed for two hours is that I bought some tickets to win a prize and their were doing it at 4:00 P.M and when I bought them it was 2:00 P.M in the afternoon. Another reason they were having some great sales on wallscrolls and other things at the artist alley but couldn't stay in that room for long. The B.O was so bad I almost pass out. Here are some pictures I took at the Maid Cafe.
They were doing a dance number.
This is the picture I took with one of the maids at the cafe.
She was a maid in training,
Even Chi-Li and Camdy wanted to come to the Maid Cafe.
Really hot cosplayer their.
This is a better picture of her for another camera person.
The maids are all doing a dance number.
So after that I when home and gave out of candy for Halloween. I going to go to this next year. I going to post all my pictures on another blog post a little later today. This blog post is really long all ready. I don't want to make it any longer.
