Battles » Anime Vice moderators vs. Giant Bomb moderators - GO!

I feel slightly loved now and can finally stop going to therapy as a result of all this validation, thanks to you, Black_Rose!

I was afraid I was going to have to go on Dr. Phil and justify why I'm not royally screwed up on national TV, but because of your intervention, that isn't a worry any longer.

Katsumi, BoG happens to be a GB moderator, so this post is more or less an ironic one.

But yeah, magic still prevents you from seeing anything. And stuff.

Way to stick to your own team, yo!
I vote Giant Bomb entirely becase we have a mod whose name is blatantly corporate-sponsored. And I totally don't mean myself, either, because that would be blatantly egotistical and that's obviously a huge no-no on the Internets. YAY MODESTY!

General Discussion » Points?

What's this about submitting stuff and contributing to the site?
I thought we were supposed to perform goat sacrifices on top of blood-painted pentagrams to get points.

I... I feel really deceived. It all made sense before since it just seems so natural, but now... now I'm just confused.

Somebody hold me. :*(

General Discussion » Your name on CV/Giantbomb

Pepsiman on Giant Bomb, which is already linked to in my profile. No Comic Vine account and, yeah, it's mostly because I'd be too lost to seriously discuss comics there, too.

Just Manga » Who is your favorite mangaka?

Indeed, I'd have to say CLAMP is high on my list, too. I probably couldn't narrow it down to just one, but I can say that I'm also rather fond of Hajime Ueda (especially because of Q-Ko-Chan), as well as Oiwa Kendi for his work on the Welcome to the NHK adaptation. Also should probably include Urasawa Naoki since he's done a superb job with Pluto in my own opinion.

Just Anime » Not your Favorite Anime, But Your First

Probably Pokemon, but because I was a wee lass in those times, I wasn't entirely aware that it was an anime to begin with. Yeah, I knew the franchise came from Japan and whatnot, but I didn't know there was a seperate animation term here in the west for their properties. Otherwise, the first one I watched knowing that it was anime was Princess Mononoke. The 12 year-old me couldn't particularly complain about starting off with one of Miyazaki's classics.

Just Anime » New to Anime

Anime covers a very wide breadth in terms of themes, genre, etc. While I could suggest any number of properties, I think it helps ease the transition if I get a bit more information about the sort of stuff you like from movies and television so that I don't suggest something completely foreign for a first-timer. Depending on what you say, I personally can suggest anything from comedies which deal in social commentary to suspense-ridden dramas to... probably other things I'd struggle to classify. Some of the ones already suggested would probably be on my list, too, but it doesn't hurt to know a bit more about your own tastes.
