I don't know, for some reason I think that second one is pretty good.

I would definitely agree with that, although I'd probably include most of the characters in that series.

Just Anime » The most annoying characters you've come across in anime

I must have completely different tastes than most. I like Poemi Watanabe and Excalibur, and Index is one of my favorite characters. On the other hand, Miya Miya and Dan from Bamboo Blade are terrible. I really like the show, but I hate whenever either of those characters show up. I don't like Emiya from Fate/Stay Night either. He's not that bad, just really dull and boring. Also, pretty much every character in High School of the Dead.

General Discussion » what is the best theme song you have ever heard in an anime?

I really liked the endings of Welcome to the NHK and Itazura na Kiss, although I suppose I liked them largely because I already liked the bands involved even before seeing the endings. Go!Go!7188 is one of my favorite bands and Kenji Otsuki, whose songs also appear in the opening of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, is a great musician.

I also have a certain fondness for the ridiculousness of the ending of Excel Saga. It's not necessarily a great song, but I feel compelled to include it anyway. Normally I skip opening and endings after seeing them once or twice, but I think Excel Saga is the only series I watched the ending credits of every episode. After 26 episodes I still found it funny. The last episode has a slightly different ending and it's even stranger.

General Discussion » Guess which anime/manga this pic is from!

It seems like I may have chosen a bad picture. I didn't realize that show was that obscure, but maybe it is. That's a shame, because it's actually pretty good and it has one of my favorite final episodes of any series. If someone else wants to do one, feel free too. I'll leave mine there though, in case anyone wants to guess still.

Since it's Opening Day today, this one seemed appropriate.

General Discussion » Has an anime ever made you cry before?

Kanon does it to me every time. It can be very depressing, but it is also very good.

@pepsimax: Oddly enough, Clannad didn't bother me. I know a lot of people that have cried during it, but for some reason it never bothered me like Kanon.

Fate/Stay Night » Visual Novel and Anime versions

I also watched the anime before playing the game. While I didn't hate the series, I don't really have any particular fondness for it either. I liked Saber, but everyone else in the series came off as a bit dull and uninteresting. When I started playing the game, I was curious to see if it would appeal to me any more than the series did. Unfortunately, it didn't really. By the end my opinion of the game pretty much mirrored my opinion of the series.

While my opinion of the game is identical to the series, it may be different for you. It's a well made game and it's enjoyable in that sense. There are also a variety of versions, as well as non-visual novel games, in the series.

Have you tried Tsukihime? It's done by the same people that did Fate/Stay Night, but I enjoyed it more. I found the characters to be more interesting, even if some of the plot twists were a little ridiculous.

Off-Topic » Alcohol

I don't drink. I don't have anything against alcohol, I just haven't found anything that tastes good so I don't bother.

Off-Topic » Requesting an Anime Vice AMV Challenge

I haven't tried my hand at making an AMV in probably 10 years. Man, I feel old saying that. I might consider giving it a shot, though, if you get something like that going. Unfortunately, I have lots of extra free time at the moment, and it would be interesting to see what I could do.

There are so many good pictures, so I'm not sure I could pick a favorite. Instead, I'll just pick one at random.

Just Anime » The most frightnening animes (as in horrible) i ever saw

@Makoto_Mizuhara_Sakamoto:  It's just your basic "Girl can't figure out if she's an anime character or a voice actress and moves into a house filled with anime stereotypes and uses a dead fish to turn into a magical princess and defends the earth from an alien that learned about the planet by watching hentai and tentacle porn," story.

Just Anime » The most frightnening animes (as in horrible) i ever saw

@Makoto_Mizuhara_Sakamoto:  Puni Puni Poemi is great. It really helps to know the background behind the show and watch parts of Excel Saga to properly appreciate it, though. If you aren't familiar with its history, it probably would come across as incredibly stupid, and not in a good way.

Just Anime » Anime you couldn't keep watching/walked away from

Personally, I couldn't stand Highschool of the Dead. I forced myself to watch 2 episodes of it, but after that I couldn't do it any longer. I know a lot of people like it and I always wonder if I should go back and try watching it again to see why, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

@sickVisionz: I loved Tatami Galaxy, but I can certainly see why others may not. Due to it's unusual style and story, I think that's a series that you either love or hate.
