12 weighted in at average like at least. Tho it is way to open of a season ending. For me over all its getting a average rating an makes the list by a cat hair because of its gene tho it is not average overall tho. Some would not just hate it because its a harem but all the faults it has plus it being a harem would knock it down for some.

Many flaws in pace , story telling was eh average , animation an illustration both were good tho overall. Bit to generic to get more than a average rating tho me thinks.

@takashichea: Decades ago when I was in high school um 1989ish used to have a saying some found funny. I might be a young pervert but I hope to grow old enuff to be a dirty old man. Way I see it perception an opinion defines what people see as perverse. In some parts of the world I pointed out music is perversion.

He was way over enthusiastic in his um hobbies so to speak. Then again part of growing up is learning to turn down the volume some times as well.

@sickVisionz: Again points missed. The more you water down the original vision the less popular it becomes. DC proves that. When you take a creator off a comic/manga an switch out some one else. Sales spiral for a bit. Some times they go back up but most of the time its a game of loss.

Your also pointing out works on titles after the original creators are long gone from the work force. Bob Kane died 1988 at the age of 83. Dark knight returns was published in 1986 when he was 81 an retired. The Dark Knight returns also along with The Watchmen helped cross a gap in audience the comic code helped create. As a general rule people like what they like 1st. So if people are exposed to the new stuff 1st why its better than the old because its " different" not in the canon they know.

DC is the perfect example of this their canon has been misfiring for years. Not ever saying a creator cant be worse then those after him. But for years The Killing Joke an The Dark Knight returns were considered by DC as elseworld series. Then they kinda worked The Killing joke into canon. Then misfired again with a nothing redo. Your examples are some of the best stories in DC . But DC is not the same thing as a creator owned universe. They are work for hire just like Marvel.

Tho a good example for DC would be The Watchmen. The original by 2008 had sold over 1 million copies of the trade. Just the trade ( graphic novel ) not counting all the printings of the issues. Then Before Watchman came along last few years an its sales dropped. It launch was touted as a huge win. over 100k for each title. An then they started dropping sales left an right. Yet to read any one say man these new guys are much better than Alan Moore.

Actually never in my 43 years among comic book stores , comic fans , comic sites etc have I ever heard some one go man I am so glade the original creator is gone an these new guys took over.

No one ever said hey that http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0831887/ was much better than Will Eisner The Spirit comics. Just be thankful I did not bring up http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327554/ /shudder.

Comic fans do talk of creator runs on comics thats true. But never have I hears an yea the new "guy" was better than the creator.

edit sigh the imdb links died.

@takashichea: The machine they made for energy was a target but it was the misleading as it was not the real target. The magic guild so to speak that has tons of knowledge was the real target. The guy who used scent magic an persuasion kind of turned over the ones near him. Mostly to look like he had nothing to do with it.

Again if the mechs they had with them were as half as dangerous as they looked things would have been more interesting. Still over all I would argue it was above average. Some shows has small faults an some go big. They went for the big ones it seems.

@takashichea: It was schh---edu--aled for 26 episodes so ya this was kind of a "wha wha what its over?" kind of ending. Not much closure, barely a feel of a arc end really. Like I said the pacing is weird here. Spend all that time on explaining the games etc but no real umph to the end. Tho no huge cliff hanger either so maybe its a wash on the end. Not great but not horrid? Really feels like their should be 2 more episodes to me.

The censorship is interesting. So SAO2 has a body cut in half but no blood so can see it fly about no problem but this roll in the black fog! Animation quality here is um at times very meh. Story is good tho.

26 ended an did not feel like a end. Said it before that he was the equivalent of a walking magic nuke. The end proves that. Series was not with out its problems . Pacing the plot pacing at times stop an go. Hyper detail to the workings of magic an the games. Some holes in design as well. Bad ass looking mechs that never do any thing but blow up well. Some bad guy fights were all to easy.

But overall it was a fun ride. Solid animation an illustration for the most part. Some cgi stood out but did not ruin it. Not a story for those who like their lead characters weak kneed an weak over all. I believe the series as a whole is above average an makes my average an above list. An I do look forward to a second season. Its looking more probable.

@Wraith: @takashichea: Its possible even not improbable. But its a magic story in a magic infused world. Author intent is always subjugated by viewer opinion. One good example of this is http://www.amazon.com/V-Vendetta-Alan-Moore/dp/140120841X/ref=sr_1_1_ha?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1411859271&sr=1-1&keywords=v+for+vendetta originally a left view of what Alan Moore believed Regan an Thatcher would do. Years later http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000PC0U1W/ref=sr_1_2?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1411859415&sr=1-2&keywords=v+for+vendetta Larry and Andy Wachowski tried to make it in their mind what Bush would do.

Keep in mind this is what the writer an the re-writers said them selves. This was their goal an intent. An for the most part it failed. Time as well as the viewers opinion over wrights their intent. As both are used to point out the dangers of a big government. Which was far from the intent of the writer or the re-writers.

Tom I believe one time could not understand the odd use of Germany in Hetalia: Axis Powers. Just as their are people who forget the past, their are those that deny it. Worse still those who make their own history up. World has always suffered for this. After all the old phrase is true. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

But if it is his intent then at least its set in a fictional world an not a history book.Tho history books these days seem more fiction than fact.

11 solidifies the parody aspect of this series . The Sentai aspects thats been homaged an parodied now a few times as a running gag.

12 actually dulls the harem aspects a bit. He sees the others not as love interests that they kind of see in him. So as a parody an comedy its above average with weirdness all over. In some ways it fills the role of parody of harem shows an tropes as well.

"Yeah.. hoisted by your own leotard." Yurika Nijino

" It's "Petard!" Kōtarō Satomi

25 was the season ender. An looks like show ender for a bit. At the end it did say thanks an see you around so I think it will be back. An filling in the slot will be http://anilist.co/anime/20790 thats my guess. Also was right about the bar owner one of the few times in the series I knew who dun it.

Series over all was a good update of a old series. It was not a reboot by any means but a moder day update. Shame others do not try this instead of erasing all of the good stories that has gone before. For fans of mystery, detective, an suspense can not go wrong with this series. makes my list of average an above.
