In the entire first page i have only seen an episode of dragonball z once and i've only seen two episodes of full metal alchamist,am i a bad person?

Strangely enough the first thing i check is the type,,if its too small or even too thin i can be put off.
Then i read a bit and if its any work to follow along i may skip it,i much prefer authors who get to the point,unessesary pontification isnt my idea of fun.
Also i hate bouncy reads.
george orwell is good,huxley was ok with brave new world but bad with chrome yellow,want to get my hands on clockwork orange,LoTr was a v good read.
Generally thrillers,some fantasy,some some sci fi and short stories.
