@Imperator100: Not with how heavily his Super Saiyan forms could help him. It didn't come with the threat of death for using it like the Kaio-Ken. And maybe the reason he had Gohan fight Cell was because he either thought SS2 would outclass whatever combo of Kaio-Ken and SS he assumed he could manage or that he was tired of the expectations of being the hero.

You have to take into consideration the Kaio-Ken which is able to be used to multiply his power by any fold. He just couldn't go past times 20 without hurting himself. @Sonata: So what makes Ki able to do things like screaming holes in dimensions? That's magic as far as I can see. And then there's creating ghosts (Gotenks Kamikaze attack) that have minds of their own aside from not being able to defy Gotenks I suppose but they act on their own in a fight and can strategize separately.
