Aestus Tale Aestus thought that his barrier would grant him some advantage, but even the massive ammounts of rock around him werent enough to stop the advance of the Maximus clones. The dozen of lighting elementals appeared inside the circle of rocks, and rushed towards the Phoenix Knight, he managed to deflect the first attacks, but even with his enhanced speed and reflexes, granted by his Phoenix Armor, he wasnt a match for them. Soon he got hit once, and from then on the blows didnt stopped, a massive beatdown started, as the Fulminis kicked up another notch, and Aestus magical defenses were starting to get depleted, even his armor was about to fall into pieces. The mind of the Knight was clouded with doubt and self pity.
How could this happen? Why Maximus was stronger than him? The man in front of him was an outlaw, a exiled Magus that even tried to attack one of the members of the Council. How? Aestus always thought that if he carried Justice in his heart his magic wouldnt fail against nobody, specially the targets assigned by the Order or the council. Why? He trained, and trained, and trained.... but Maximus was more powerful, much more powerful than he ever imagined, if he fought against Celatus, Maximus would have more probabilty to win, and this could not be the Demon of the Northland top speed. As his mind was filled with this thoughts his body was being decimated, as the clones finished their attack launching him towards the sky, surely preparing a final hit.
Batsu's Tale Something in the air was sinister, the Tenkaidan Tiger could smell it, the wind was telling him that this place was bad news, as if the death itself was roaming throught the rustic houses, and the dismembered corpses. Batsu moved with superb agility and balance jumping with cat-like grace throught the rooftops, he decided to use this route since he could easily spot any stranger. Also the sudden formation of fog was lowering his sense of smell range, and even if he mostly felt the sent fo blood, he needed as much help as he could get to spot the attackers. He heared some soft noises, but they were falling pieces of walls, still destroyed after the bandits raids, and some small animals, mostly rats, seeking for food in the ruins. The city was covered in a gloomy mist, and Batsu thought several times of dissipating it, but for some reasons his insticts told him not to waste his efforts, since deep inside he knew this fog was something supernatural and no matter what effort he could put into it, the mist wouldnt leave.
He heared Sabine shouting, and rushed throguht the rooftops towards her, he hopes that nothing too serious attacked....
