You know, as somebody who knows nothing about Toriko, everything you two are saying looks like pure lunacy.
Completely normal lol. I felt exactly the same when I read Otus's arguements before I started Toriko.
Yeah sure, but there's more than one way to get stronger in Toriko. What's another way you ask? Simple, just eat good food. The better food you eat, the stronger your cells become. Take a look at Zebra's Full Course. The levels of his ingredients far surpass everything of the other kings. In fact, the thing that comes closest to the lowest item on Zebras full course (equator soup lvl 87) is Toriko's century soup which is only lvl 60. Zebra has eaten way better food, which means more power-ups. Granted, now that they're all in the Gourmet World they will all eat new foods sooner or later.
I could go on more and more about stuff, but I really don't want to. With the way that stuff is happening in the manga, all of the kings will soon get new feats. I'm gonna ignore this thread for a while.
the highest ranked food on any of the kings full courses is the billion bird egg. not to say capture level matters at all for gourmet cells.
in fact most of toriko's meals are low level because they have been captured on the human world but both the rainbow fruit and the BB corn are from gourmet world and have wayyy higher capture levels over there.
in other words all of toriko's meals are on par with gourmet world food.
The highest is unknown. The Billion Bird Egg's lvl is unknown, compared to two of Zebra's ingredients which are immeasurable. Capture levels aren't a bad gauge for what an ingredient would do depending on how strong the person is. Something like a Troll Kong wouldn't do anything for Toriko during the regal mammoth arc, but the jewel meat would.
The rainbow fruit isn't from the gourmet world. If it is can you tell me which chapter it says that in, or a scan?
The Century Soup is good, but not on the level of gourmet world food, same with the rainbow fruit.
i disagree. the tears of the tonyuudo just didnt made the same impact as other type of food like the bubble fruit. same could be said for the hanya panda in comparison to the shining gourmi.
Hence why I said depending on how strong the person is. Current Toriko doesn't even need to fight something on the levels 600 and below. The soy milk road is lvl 487, and is utter trash to Toriko so of course it wouldn't have a huge impact. The Bubble Fruit however, is a top tier human world ingredient. Toriko at the time wasn't as strong as he is now, so eating a top tier ingredient back then would result in a power boost. The same concept can be used for the panda and gourami. His cells were already evolved by the gourami when he fought the panda.
