Okay, maybe there is some bias in me regarding Noblesse, maybe the Manhwa has mastered the art of generating excitement, but this was very awesome. And I mention bias because, like previous chapters, it doesn’t feel like that much really happened in this chapter.
This as opposed to Magi which inundates each chapter with tons of information. Yet Noblesse managed to actually entertain in its 19 pages, deliver that spark of excitement, where Magi still feels kind of bland.
The Lord reveals the purpose of her visit. M21 ponders his new powers.
Think about what happened in this chapter. The Lord restored Rai and the gang acknowledged M21’s abilities; really not a whole lot that couldn’t have fit within the first five pages. Yet this chapter of Noblesse felt far from dragged out and that has more to do with the look of the Manhwa and its characters than the content.
I have mentioned this before, that the one word that best describes noblesse is Elegance, and this chapter brought the elegance. Again, I couldn’t explain it, why reading all those silent stares and expressive faces made for an interesting chapter, why that final revival was so good to look at…
Wait, that is it, that is why I loved this chapter. It was so GOOD to look at, especially those last glossy panels. This isn’t why I read Noblesse; it’s just one of the reasons you should definitely keep reading this manga. And suddenly I can’t wait to read next chapter.
And that is what I am looking for from Magi, Fairy Tail and the like, some excitement over what is coming next.
RATING: 7/1O, seriously, this was awesome and I don’t know why.
Frankenstein looked kind of crazy at the end there; I wouldn’t have put it past him to make a move against Raskreia, even knowing who she is.
