Editing & Tools » English names

@Kelleth: Sorry, I'll try to be more clear. The literal translation is the Japanese title translated into English literally. The localized title is what the American publisher names it, if it has actually been localized by one, which can often be different. I was simply asking which of these titles should be used if a localized one exists. I've been using the localized ones because of your initial answer, and it makes the most sense.

@Kelleth: Ok, thanks. So there's no place for a literal English translation (unless it hasn't been localized yet).

When filling out English names, for episode titles as an example, should the localized name be used or the literal translation of the Japanese title? I thought it was the localized name because of the American flag next to it, but I've seen both done and wanted to be sure.

Bug Reporting » E-mail

This may not have to do with the site directly, but the footer URLs in the AnimeVice Updates don't resolve in all browsers because of the missing TLD. (e.g. http://animevice/ )

Editing & Tools » What actually constitutes an anime movie?

Apparently the Death Note movie is considered an anime movie, even though the closest thing to anime in it are the animated Shinigami. Does this mean any live-action movie based on an anime or manga is eligible to be added as an anime movie? It'd be good to have this cleared up.

Bug Reporting » Dev Bugs

Unable to add a similar series. After clicking the Saves Changes button, the Please Wait A Moment splash pops up momentarily and then just disappears with everything still in edit mode. Even worse, it appears that even after the similar anime is removed it will still fail, so the edits must be started all over again without touching that part.
