Anime is filled with great music, from piano melodies, to hard rock. Personally, these are my Top 5 Favorites.
: Actually, the top 5 spot was particularly hard for me to pick, because I already knew what my top 4 where going to be. So, number 5 could have gone to really a bunch of different stuff (Bleach, Gundam, Ouran High School Host club, Beck Mongolian Chop Squad, Cowboy Bebop, etc.) but for some reason Deathnote stuck out to me. maybe because the music just fits the mood so well. From Ls Theme, to the music that plays when light first uses the Deathnote. Some standout tracks of this soundtrackare Ls Theme, lights theme, Deathnote Theme, Domine Kira, and if you can find it Misa No Uta. )
Dragon Ball Z
(Bruce Falcouner America): I might get crap for this, but I chose the america soundtrack for this show because, quit honestly, I didnt believe the Original Japnese tracks went with the anime. They where kinda light and nice. this show is about beating people up and testosterone. And I honestly think Bruce Falcouner has created some of the best action music ever in a anime with this. From the hard rock of the opening to tracks like Super Buus theme (my Fav. track), you know your watching a action packed show. Some Stand out tracks are Ginyus Transformation, Super Buus theme, Rock the Dragon, Vegetas Super Sayain transformation song and honestly a ton of other stuff.
: Im am not ashamed to admit that this is whre I was first introduced to my favorite Japanese rock group, The Pillows. They did all the music for this show, and I listen to the soundtrack almost every day. It contains some of their best work and I thought it went very well with the rockin crazyness of the show. Standout tracks are Advice, Ride on Shooting Star, I think I can, Nightmare, Funny Bunny, and really pretty much any song on the Vol. 3 Soudntrack.
2. inuyasha: Ok, Ok, so im pretty much basing this off of the opening and ending songs of the show, but honestly, I dont think ive heard a anime that had so many great songs for intros and endings. Big name groups doing intro and ending songs for a anime is not a new thing obviously, but really this stuck out to me because it had such a Quantity of Quality songs by quality artists. You have Do as Infinity, BoA, Ayumi Hamasaki, Nanase Aikawa, and other great ones. Standout tracks are Dearest, Shinjitsu no Uta, Owarinai Yume, Every Heart, Fukai Mori, and My Will.
: I am talking about the first series, not the OVA. This honestly might be a obscure one, but this is honestly some of the coolest music ive heard in a anime. The lyrics and titles of the songs, and this is actually quoted from Yasushi Ishii (the Composer) himself I believe, are non sensical. He instead wanted to focus on the sound of the music and the intrumentation of the songs. Its kinda hard for me to describe the music. Its industrial, its techno, its rock, its acoustic, its kinda a mash up of different stuff. But it really awesome. stand out tracks are: World without Logos, Gyspsy Atonement, Fool Cross Over Nirvana (Grudge Prohibited) , Left Foot Trapped in a Sensual Seduction , Dracula's Holy Pupil and R & R, Sea of Chaos (Creator's Ulterior Motive) , Pure Death, Survival on the Street of Insincerity, Non-Neurosis Tunes (Who the Hell Are You?) , When You Start the War, Fight With Arrows, Spears and Swords? Sou Rescuer, Japanese Alphabet Road With Chinese Bellflower's Sweet Smell, Origin Reflection Rhythm Nation, From 666 to 777 (creppy as all get out), Theyre is two soundtracks for this anime: Hellsing: Raid and Hellsing: Ruins. Personally, i would go with Raid because I think it has the better quantity of good songs.
