Shikabne Hime

Makina Hoshimura
Corpse Princess, aka
Shikabane Hime, is an anime based on the
on going manga of the same name, which is written by Yoshiichi Akahito. There are two seasons which consist of 25 episodes total. The show is produced by
Feel and
Gainax and it was directed by
Masahiko Murata and written by
Sho Aikawa.
Genres: action, supernatural
Themes: girls with guns, priests and priestesses, troublesome teens
Plot Summary
The title "Corpse Princess" belongs to Makina Hoshimura, an undead girl who seeks to hunt down 108 corpses in order to go to heaven.
Pros:
- A great cast of characters.
- A fantastic griddy atmosphere established.
- Tons a great action packed/gun shooting/over the top/gruesome battles.
- Lots of interesting concepts that kept me hooked.
- A nice twist on the whole partner system that many shows have.
- Really goofy, yet enjoyable humor when used.
Cons:
- The ending is kinda erupt.
If you are looking for a new action/supernatural show with some gore, definitely check this show out. If you like shows like
Shakugan no Shana,
Fate/Stay Night, or
Kurokami (Black God), then you will dig this show.

What's a Super Duper Mini Review? Well, since I'm taking a break from written reviews, I decided to put a short list of what I liked and didn't like about the shows I review and put down some notes and fun facts as well. For some info about the show like genre, plot summary, etc., I borrow some info from Anime News Network, Wikipedia, and of course our wiki here on Anime Vice.
