Rozen Maiden is an anime adaptation of the on going manga of the same name, Rozen Maiden. The Rozen Maiden manga is written by Peach-Pit. Both anime seasons and the OVAs are directed by Ko Matsuo and produced by Nomad.

Due to a deep trauma at school Sakurada Jun has refused to return. He spends his time in his room, surfing the web and ordering anything that takes his fancy, only to return the items just before payment is due. One day, he finds a web site that tells him to put his order in a drawer of his desk. He does so thinking it to be a joke, only to find that the letter disappears and a strange package arrives soon afterwards. It contains an exquisite doll, that, when wound, comes to life. She treats him as a servant of little worth, but over time helps him come to grips with his fears and in the life-or-death fights that soon follow her arrival.
Pros and Cons
Pros:- Great cast of characters. Who knew dolls could be make a show great.
- The whole "Alice Game' concept is neat.
- The fight scenes were solid.
- Surprisingly funny.
- Desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu desu.
Cons:
- The drama does get a little out of hands.

A: Well, since I'm done with long, written reviews for now, I decided to put a short list of what I liked and didn't like about the shows I watch. For some info about the show like genre, plot summary, etc., I borrow (mainly copy and paste :P) some info from Anime News Network, Wikipedia or the Anime Vice wiki. So people wont think I'm plagiarizing, I do post sources.
Q: Why are these blogs so short and half assed?
A: Well, I want to put in as little effort as possible. Why? Cause I'm lazy.
Q: Do you care if people don't read these?
A: Kinda. One of the main things that keeps me making these things is so I can spread the word of shows/mangas that people aren't aware of.
Q: Sometimes there a few or no cons, does that mean the show is perfect?
A: No. Usually when I make these, I like to highlight the things I liked more then the negatives. I'm one of those people who enjoys just about anything as long as it's entertaining. I can easily look past a show's faults if I find enjoyment from it. Remember, nothing is perfect.
Super Duper Mini Review
Sekirei is an anime adaptaion of the ongoing manga of the same name. The manga was written by Ashike Sakura. Both seaons were directed by Keizo Kusakawa, written by Takao Yoshioka, and produced by Seven Arcs.

Themes: ecchi, fanservice, harem

In Tokyo in the year 2020, Minato Sahashi has failed his college entrance exam twice, is awkward around women, and he's unemployed. He could never stand up to his mother or little sister growing up, a trend that continues to this day. In reality, Minato is extremely intelligent, yet his inability to cope under pressure results in his constant failure and he has been branded an idiot and loser by many as a result. One day, Minato meets a girl named Musubi, who literally falls from the sky. Minato soon learns that she is a " Sekirei" and he is her "Ashikabi", a human with special genes that allows them to "wing" (form a contract with) Sekirei. This binds the Sekirei to him and allows them to use their full power in the elimination battle with other Sekirei. Made up of cute girls, buxom women, and bishōnen, the Sekirei fight in a dangerous and sometimes deadly competition known as "The Game" or the "Sekirei Plan" organized by Hiroto Minaka, the chairman and founder of the mysterious and powerful MBI Corporation. Minato soon learns that being the partner of a beautiful girl is not all fun and games, especially when he discovers that an Ashikabi can have more than one Sekirei partner—and that's where the real trouble starts.
Pros and Cons
Pros:- An entertaining take on the harem genre. Mix of fighting and a shonen tournament type setting.
- Loads and loads of fan service. Usually I don't include this, but there is just ton of it, it's hard not to make a bullet point for it. Fans will be pleased.
- An entertaining cast of characters. From main characters to side characters, they were fun.
- Surprisingly, it didn't have many harem filler episodes were they all go to the beach, hot spring, etc. There were bathing scenes though, but I will let it slide.
- The whole Sekirei concept and the things that revolve around it were interesting.
Cons:
- Like a lot of harems, they share the same harem character stereotypes.. Loser college male gets the chicks. Hyper go happy-go-lucky girl, the drunk girl, the smart girl, etc.
Who is this for?
Fans of the harem genre who enjoy some action thrown in the mix will get a kick out of this show. Also, if you like shows like Ikkitousen, you will enjoy this show.If you are interested in the show, it is available on Hulu for those who like in the USA.

Once upon a time there was this guy named Scott Pilgrim. He is some lazy dude from Toronto. One day he meets this chick Ramona Flowers, but to keep dating this he he must defeat her 7 evil ex-boyfriends.

OK, the blog isn't over yet. If you don't know what Scott Pilgrim is about, that's the basic jist of if.
Last night (well, technically really early this morning) I finished reading the series. This will be a short little blog talking about what I liked and didn't like about it.
Things I Enjoyed
- Holy crap, there are lots of characters. Surprisingly, they are all excellent.
- The comedy is spot on. Constant laughs through out. Sex jokes to video game jokes, they will make you giggle.
- Loved the cartoony/manga art style. Totally fits with it.
- All the video game stuff was totally rad. You just get a big grin on your face when you know the references or when it randomly feels like a game.
- Was surprised the romance stuff in it was actually good and interesting. Lots of crazy relationship stuff.
Things I Didn't Enjoy
- Every once in a while the pacing felt kinda weird. When you think something should happen or there should be a little more, it just moves on. For the most part it wasn't a problem.
If you are looking for a new comedy/action/romance comic to read and don't mind some video game stuff thrown in there, you should totally check this out. It's a series that is just plain fun and a blast.

I guess I could talk about Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game while I'm at it since I finished it a few days ago.
In retrospect, it's a mindless brawler like Ninja Turtles or The Simpsons arcade game. The game does have RPG elements in the game, similar to River City Ransom, which helps it from being bland.
I enjoyed the levels in the game. There were really fun and unique. The 16-bit art style in the game was fantastic. Since the game plays like an old school game, might as well make it look old school. I'm really surprised at how close the game was with the comics. While I was reading it there were moments were I was like "Holy shit, that's totally in the game in some form" and I got a grin on my face. Some minor things here and there and also you get the picture of why the levels in the game were there. Of course there were some things in the game that weren't in the comics, but hey, that's common with licensed games.
The worst thing about the game is that there is no online play. Are you kidding me? A game like this in this day in age and there is no online play? That was Ubisoft's biggest screw up with the game. The best thing about the game was the soundtrack. Easily one of the best original soundtracks of the year.

In a nutshell, the game can be fun with others, but it can get a little stale by yourself. Still, I had fun with the game and will get the DLC when it comes out on Xbox 360.
Well, that's the end of this blog. Go buy the comics and at least try the demo of the game before you buy it. See you on the flip side!

I finally seen the movie last night. My thoughts? It was alright. Nothing mind blowing.Thought the movie was a little too fast paced. If you don't know anything about Scott Pilgrim, you might go "What the fuck?" a lot while watching it. The fight scenes were OK. The actors in the movie were decent. Michael Cear (spelling?) was an alright Scott. The other actors did what they had to do with their parts. The comedy wasn't anything mind blowing for since all the jokes were from the comics, for the most part so I knew they were coming.
Overall, it's an OK movie that should be at least seen once. If you like Scott Pilgrim, it's worth seeing to see how it adapts too the big screen. If you want to get into Scott Pilgrim, skip the movie and read the comics.

Themes: ghosts, occult, spirits

Kimihiro Watanuki is a young boy with a cursed gift. He has the ability to see evil spirits, and somehow they seem attracted to himself. One day he meets a misterious woman who names herself Yuuko. She claims to have the means to end his torment, but she never works for free, and she wouldn't help him until he works for her enough to pay for her services. Thus he starts to work in her shop and discovers that in that place, nothing is what it seems.
Pros and Cons (Covers both seasons.)
Pros: - A fantastic cast.
- An entertaining world. All the spiritual/mystery/supernatural stuff make the world great.
- Surprisingly, the show is funny for a show that can be dark at times.
- The the spiritual/mystery/supernatural stuff is great.
- A very unique art style. Fits with the show well.
Cons:
- All the comedy is great, but it goes for some gags a little too often.
Who is it for?
If you are a fan of mystery/supernatural/psychological type shows with some comedy thrown in, definitely check out this show. Also, if you are a fan of CLAMP's work, it say it's worth checking to see their other work.If you live in the US and want to check it out, the first season is available on Hulu in subs. (Might be available in other regions.)

Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! centers around Mamoru Yoshimura, a high school student who gets accepted into a prestigious school for students endowed with the power of Beatrice due to his high intellect. Right after first entering the school on his first day, he meets the mysterious Ayako Takasu, also known as the Beatrice's Angel of Death, who is a pretty and popular female student whose powers exceed most others. Moments later, Ayako, who has never been known to show a smile, suddenly confesses her strong feelings for Mamoru, despite having never met him before. Pros and Cons
Pros:- A solid cast of characters. The support cast was really entertaining.
- The "Beatrice" concept is neat.
- The humor was enjoyable.
- Doesn't drag on the main relationship like it does in some shows. It actually goes somewhere.
Cons:
- The animation can be iffy at times. Especially during the fight scenes.
- No real conclusion.
- Romcom cliches like the hot spring episode, beach episode, etc.
Who is this for?
If you are a fan romcoms genre and don't mind some fantasy, fan service and the show taking place at a high school, I say give the show a shot and see what you think.Sources *SPOILERS*
