Absolutely ridiculous episode why bother hyping Suzaku and Cardinal George up so much if they're just gonna get their shit pushed in so badly by oni sama?
Toei needs to ramp up their animation quality.
Episode 2 was lacking in this.
Last episode massively bored me.
I'm a little lost going from epp 1 to 2.
Still entertaining but I think they could have done a better job adapting the source material. I haven't read the Manga but I'd bet it introduces stuff much more coherently than what we've seen. I know they tried to hook ppl immediately with the action in the first epp, but by the time of episode 2 I've already forgotten all the characters except white hair girl.
I also heard they put in a cameo in episode 1 of a character from another series the mangaka did or something, but I could be mistaken I didn't really look into it. Anybody know?
Escaflowne I think might match well against snk top tiers.
Maybe some Black Bullet characters as well?
1 The one that's not Gurren Lagann
2 4 Devas
Better or at least equal piloting skills, machine's would be similar in battle capacity with a slight edge to 00 even in base.Trans AM and giant Fiamma like sword solidifies the win for Setsuna imo.
Episode 1 was alright I guess. I think the original was better but I can't really remember tbh (I can say the original intro was much cooler for sure). The only real complaint I have is Usagi's eye's don't look right.
Trying to get a version of episode 2 where the censorship edits have been somehow (computer technology ftw) removed by the encoder. Will comment afterward to let ppl know what I think.
Edit: Well despite good effort some black bars simply cannot be removed. Ah well. Other than stupid censorship episode 2 was solid. I'm am glad ghoul-senpai got what was coming to him.
Pretty good shit so far. Some quality animation and the gore in the fight scenes instantly drew comparisons in my mind to this season's other show with Tokyo in the title. After 1 epp in I'm pretty interested in both Tokyo esp and ghoul. Hope the other titles can keep pace, if they can it might pan out to be an ok season.
I also heard they opted to skip the plot heavy introductory stuff for the first epp and go with action right away to hook the viewers who might not be familliar with the source material before getting into explaining stuff. Mahouka could take some lessons here.
