For crap's sake people, stop ripping pages straight from Wikipedia or wikia sites on the AV wiki! I mean, some facts are going to be the same no matter where you look them up, such as how to write someone's name and all in kanji, or how tall the vernier height on a mobile suit is, and that's fine, but jeez..... To be so sloppy as to even leave the links pointing to their old URLs on the site you ripped them from? Come on!
A few months ago it didn't seem so bad, but lately it seems like almost every article (or at least any that I'd be interested in) I come across has been taken almost verbatim from somewhere else!
THE REAL PROBLEM seems to stem from the fact that the large majority of these users are in the +5k range so they avoid being moderated, so this is not the fault of the moderators in any way. That said, as of this moment there are only 76 of us, and I'd like to think that those of us who made it this far without breaking the rules would continue to do so!
I really don't give two cents about the points system, but if you're going to bother putting in an article at all, at least be sure to write it yourself in your own words - even if your grammar isn't that great. It can't hurt to sound professional but heck, I'm sure someone around here reached their 1k mark by picking out typos and such so don't try using cruddy English or laziness as an excuse to plagiarize.
