Gurren Lagann first. You could get away with having not seen Haruhi on this site and people wouldn't crucify you, but Gurren Lagann is pretty much half of our doctrine. Haruhi would be a very recommended second however. Shuffle is just a fun show if you like obvious bits of fanservice on the side with your romance, though BECK is pretty good too.

EDIT: I eventually came up with two more: Sigurd and Theodore Roosevelt. Personally I want to use Theodore Roosevelt since I think he'd be far more interesting.

I shouldn't need to say much about who he was. I figure his Big Stick and Rough Rider NPs would make him unique at least and stand a chance against some of the more traditional classic heroes.

This is rather difficult for me to choose. Initially I was going to go with Canaan, as much as I hated the show she came from, but then I remembered that Revy took on the terminator and fought it to a draw...
 
Ultimately I think it would come down to a battle of stamina vs wits. If Canaan can use her power to do something as to restrict or finish off Revy early, it'd be her victory, but if it came out to being a battle of attrition, Revy would definitely have the upper hand.
 
Also, the kind of guns they each use (I think Canaan uses a Walther P99 or a S&W M&P .40 whereas Revy uses a Beretta 92) all use the same variants of ammunition, so neither would have an advantage over the other in terms of penetration. Accuracy is debatable considering Canaan prefers a two hands on the gun stability method, but it's not like Revy's natural accuracy has ever been a problem.

On Point (primary) / backup Heavy: Nanoha Takamachi equipped with Excellion Buster in Axel Charge System Mode
Scout: Asagami Fujino (preferably with Clairvoyance ability, but if pre-KnK3 then her role changes to support)
Heavy (primary): Trowa Barton (assumed with Heavyarms)
Cleanup: Archer

Between Asagami's ability to twist things apart just by looking at them on top of seeing through walls, the sheer firepower of Heavyarms and Archer, and the INSANE firepower of Nanoha's raging heart coupled with her impressive agility, this would be one tough team to beat.
