Babs took a
walkthrough of Graphic.ly, a new piece of software that's hoping to be something of the iTunes of comics-- it's for buying and reading comics on a computer, "the result of two guys who [were] frustrated with the limited selection of comic books at their comic store." It's a good idea; I gather comic stores don't tend to carry a ton of the back stock of series if you want to go back to something from a few years ago, unless it was some kind of Big Deal, I suppose.
But wait, there's more: in addition to being able to read the comics, there is also a chat function so that you can talk to other users about the comics as you go. I'm assuming this is NOT a "plaster it all over the screen"-style function like Nico Nico Douga's. Anyway, it sounds cool, but will the comics publishers go with it?
I'm probably overdoing it with all these anime-y trailers, and somehow I doubt that this DS game,
Glory of Heracles, will be terribly exciting...but it's themed after Greek mythology, and I'm a total sucker for that shit.
Oh, yeah, and if you wanted to see the exclusive
Final Fantasy XIII trailer that was on the
Square Enix bus yesterday? It's already online at GB, too.
Since we were busy shooting at the FFXIII event, it was a bit of a quiet day yesterday, but we did still manage to get out a tenth-hour
podcast (it wasn't
quite the eleventh hour, see). Also,
another otaku tried to get on American Idol, and
Gonzo released the opening for the new Druaga trailer, so their head is still...slightly above water, for now, ish, I suppose.
