Richter's leg stopped mid swing with Sam avoiding a rather painful hit to his side thanks to those quick reactions.
"Huh... witches are boring." Molly said somewhat surprised apparently as she boiled up the pasta. "Well wouldn't call out time here so far boring and hugging aside it doesn't look like we're heading towards an orgy either."
"I'm a real estate agent." Rebecca said. "Get around the world like that." she continued. "And make some nice money on the way."
"Oh right." Ciel said. "Jason this is Elliott a good friend and ally." she told the man as she gestured towards Elliott. "Elliott this is Jason a former member of the resistance like me."
Soon they all arrived at what appeared to be a rather formidable fortress. Hugging the western wall of the city. Though it's size wasn't too impressive, it was rather high almost like a tower and it's walls appeared to be very thick and sturdy. That fortress served as a the headquarters of the Maximilian Knights and was the pride of the whole city.
While each knight order enjoyed respect and was beloved by the city it was based in as well as those far and wide apart the Maximilian Knights were a class of their own. Each and every member was idolized by the citizens to the point of hero worship. That was something that came with the nature of the city. Maxim was a city for those who could not tolerate sorsoms and the Maximilian Knights were the same. That means that in battle these warriors relied simply on the strength of their bodies, the wits of their mind and their impressive swordsmanship. Few rare members can manipulate other energy sources different than sorsoms but even they can still hold their own against their peers even without those powers. This earned the order the respect of other cities and knight organizations and their skill is well known though the whole country.
In short the Maximilian Knights were a symbol for the people of the city, sorsoms are not needed for greatness nor does the inability to use them prevent one from having virtues or being respected the same way those who can use them are. They are both a symbol of hope and encouragement, a role model for every citizen of Maxim.
And one of those role models was in the process of letting individuals whom the city considered dangerous criminals roam free once more. With a few quick cuts with his saber the rope was cut and Naoto and Jenny were set free once more. "Alright, stay clear of trouble." the knight told them. "My name's Sieg." he told them. "But don't think of me as a friend. Next time you cause a mess like this i'll be taking you in for real." he told them with a somewhat threatening glare. "And oh, your friend over there should keep that hat on her head. She'll just attract more trouble for you otherwise." he said as he gestured towards Elise, clearly thinking of her horns. "Unless you have urgent business here it would be for the best if you just left."
In the meantime Mable hopped down from the rooftop and started looking for Aerith while Hollowind sat at the edge of the building a sack of provisions on his back.
Yukari froze up her face become pale. A moment later she rushed towards Alvin with tears in her eyes and started hug healing him. She wanted to ask if he was ok but looking at the situation that would probably be a rather dumb question.
The boy took what appeared to be a horn hanging on his hip and blew into it as he dropped the flute. There was no sound but rather a visible wave of vibrating air. The arrow was turned into splinters as the waver passed.
That same wave was now heading for Archie.
