It seems to me that, at times, it would be best to refrain from nicety and friendliness to certain individuals. The pathetic kind can tend to latch on and it eventually grows annoying to me. I may act or voice as much at some point and then they have their feelings stepped on by their own imagination. all the while I seem to encourage their insufferable nature. A situation that could be avoided if I treated them with the intolerance they probably deserve.

Shall perish beneath the force of cogent analysis.

So, don't make cruel and sarcastic remarks in response to a young lady's status about her Valentine's Day woes. She might not get the joke and think you're really interested. And then her Mom might like your comment and it just gets all kinds of backfired.

On the bright side, my lil sis made a hilarious remark about it: "Obviously she can't be your Valentine. Too stupid. And it seems to run in her family." LOL
