This is awkward. I just checked Tested out and didn't feel good about the new design or the first Jamie & Adam video at all. That was kind of the worst possible way for BermanBraun to suddenly push the transition despite how deeply rooted the Tested's community is with Whiskey Media. I am now even more worried with how Screened and Anime Vice are going to fare. At least Rorie ...

Depending on what Screened announces tomorrow, we'd probably be able to predict the fate of AnimeVice. Tested is really shining right now (their announcement video was awesome - they're practically getting a huge promotion as a website) but Screened has been oddly quiet today, aside from Alex Navarro formally leaving due to his role with Giant Bomb (and they're going to CBSi with Comic Vine). I did some backtracking to try and figure out what you were looking for, and I think I've got narrowed down to these released: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2002-06-21/action-channel-re-launch-features-much-anime (X/1999, 3x3 Eyes, Blue Seed) but all three sort of predate my more active interest in anime so I wouldn't be able to pinpoint which one exactly would be it. @WatanabeKazuma: I agree; especially on Eden of the East. Actually, I feel like this community is kind of an outlier in terms of the general reception of it here. I really liked Eden of the East, although I never really followed it up with the films as much as I meant to.

@sora_thekey: Yes, watch it! They're bodacious (according to the English title translation), they're privateers (technically the fact that they're legal via "Letters of Marque" makes them privateers instead of pirates), and one of them is voiced by Kana Hanazawa. That's more than enough reasons for me to watch it. I was sold at Kana Hanazawa.

I thought ending with Atsushi getting arrested was effective. Even though it was a resolution one could anticipate from a mile away I still got a good laugh about it, so it worked for me! The fact that each episode is 3 minutes is going to make a lot about it hit-or-miss, but I'll give it a chance.
