A look into the worst anime titles I've seen in my nearly seven years of anime fandom.
1. Street Fighter Alpha: Generations
This title took a number of liberties with the Street Fighter storyline and even had some ugly looking character designs to boot. I really hated seeing Ryu as an arrogant and overconfident buffoon in this movie. |
2. Tekken
Like the video games. Hate this heaping load of garbage thanks to shallow characters, ugly looking character designs, and sluggish battle scenes. |
3. X: The Movie
Too many characters, so little time to devote depth to them. I never really felt anything for the characters when one of them got killed off since they weren't explored too well in depth. |
4. Dragon Ball GT
A lot worst than DBZ in terms of quality, especially as Toei was beating around a dead horse at this point. |
5. Blood: The Last Vampire
It looks good, but the movie tosses you into its action without giving you any info over Saya or the demons she is slaughtering. |
6. Eiken
My Berserk Button for anime I hate. This thing's so tasteless with its fan service that I feel dirty even mentioning it. |
7. School Days
The infamous train-wreck title of 2007. Has shallow characters, the worst protagonist you can find in an anime and plot buildup that's just an excuse to show off the violent endings that the game it's based on is well known for. |
8. K-On!
This one's gonna get me flamed me enough, especially with fans of the moeblob crowd. But expecting me to see a series just to ogle for cute teenage girls with idiosyncrasies and behaving too young for their age doesn't make me a happy camper. |
9. I'm in Love With My Little Sister: Secret Sweethearts - This Love is a Secret
Unlike Koi Kaze, I couldn't find myself buying the forbidden sibling relationship from this OAV thanks to its shallow characters and rushed developments thanks to the limited time that the OAV had. |
10. Yu-Gi-Oh!: Duel Monster GX
It's absurd enough when the fate of the world rests in a children's card game yet it's even more absurd for said card game to be the entire basis for a high school, just for Konami to continue profiting from its card game's immense popularity. |
11. Harlock Saga: Ring of the Nibelung
Captain Harlock fans shouldn't waste their time on this OAV series considering the subpar and inconsistent animation, the deadpan voice acting and some very inconsistent plot developments. |
12. Seikon no Qwaser |
13. MD Geist |
14. Vampire Wars |
15. Cosplay Complex
An OAV on cosplay that serves nothing more than to show off fan service, male perversion and Jenny's pedophilia for 12-year old Athena. |
Yu gi oh is great.
If K ON is no good, which other Moe anime (besides clannad) do you think are better?
As for moe titles, I'd say the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni franchise would be the best for moe stuff. Rather than ogling the fans with the child-like appearance and personalities of the younger characters throughout its entire run, Higurashi is a horror-mystery title that does quite well at screwing with your perceptions of events and thoughts of the characters the first time you see it as you never know if any of the characters are really sincere or murderously insane in the small town of Hinamizawa.
The list isn't meant to give a specific order for what I consider much worst than the other. I just add on what I find grates on my nerves.
As far as Moe, what more main stream stuff?
I never seen any of these movies but hey,COWBOYBEBOP IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry i just love spike..............
