@takashichea: Fake one or Real one?
@takashichea: Looked like DBZ_universe was the instigator for this. I'll let off BloodSprinkles and flashback180 since they were trying to be civil before starting to get annoyed.
@DBZ_universe: Consider this your first warning. Mellow out of your "troll mode".
@takashichea: Found one that has the scene in particular, though its actually one part of the UBW movie divided into a number of parts. The best that I can find on Youtube. The "implied scene" starts at about 7:10:
Super Janemba should be able to win this. Seems to be on a greater level of power compared to his foes considering he could easily plow through SSJ3 Goku and SSJ2 Vegeta.
And yeah, see no point in why Frieza and Cell are here besides being fodder.
@Whats_out_the_bag: We've been through this before. Your debating style involves provoking a sense of "holier than thou" towards whomever you debate against in many instances, usually ticking them off. You also retaliated in response to Akira_Toriyama_is_GodofWeights' insult meme by posting your own in return meant to mock him. I've been offering enough leniency towards how you usually comment in debates, but the kid gloves are off. Next insult I see from either you or him, I will temp-ban either the instigator or both of you at once.
@TheDragonFist: And yet another pops up thinking they know DBZ more than me? You're not the first to have claimed this.
"The resentment of the Universe, Freeza behind the walls."
The comment had to do with Frieza being hated and feared for his destruction of planets throughout the cosmos while the rest is hype in hyping up the preparation of Goku's Spirit Bomb to use on him. Don't really get what you're trying to prove with the scan.
You though Cell solar system bust was a bluff ? well think again ;)
It is hyperbole. There are more people than me on this site that accept this fact since we tend to go by onscreen feats and author statements instead of what a character hyping themselves up thinks they can pull off, the latter being a normal thing in other shounen battle titles like DBZ.
I have more scan of manga, guidebooks and evidence that proves Cell can solar system bust and not at fullpower,
Let's see: I've seen much of the anime for the franchise, read a good chunk of the manga and read up on details covered in the Daizenshuu. Don't get full of yourself thinking you know more when I can just as likely refute what you claim is legitimate.
When we get introduced to people stronger than Roshi (in Part 1), most of their feats come from them doing things causally. I don't remember anyone putting all their Ki into one blast and running out of Ki (like Roshi did) so it makes sense how he had an much more impressive feat than people stronger than him, it also wouldn't be very wise to set off a Moon Level attack near the Earth unless they are trying to blow it up, the person doing so might even get caught in it themselves.
Piccolo Daimao was visibly exhausted after unleashing two of his city-busting ki attacks on Goku without killing the boy. If he got that worn out after said attacks, I highly doubt he's moon-busting since the moon's much bigger than a city and Piccolo Daimao's supposed to be much stronger than Roshi was. Also, the best showings of strength by that point of the series were from characters either destroying buildings or large rock formations with some level of effort. Basing on these facts, I don't see higher levels of attributes as you supposedly think.
Yes, all of the characters stronger than Roshi and who can use ki manipulation, this is even shown when Piccolo causally blew up the moon.
Trying to twist my words? I said that characters before the start of DBZ couldn't moon-bust. Piccolo's moon-busting happened during Saiyan saga, which was at the start of DBZ. And I wouldn't call the blast casual since he's clearly shown expanding effort into his blast and is winded afterward from firing the blast.
I am simply using it to try and gauge how much Piccolo changed during the time skip because I don't see how someone went from island level at best to easy moon level as fast he did.
You're better off judging onscreen feats and powerscaling off them, since it's how the majority of Dragon Ball characters get their capabilities judged. Power levels are too unreliable to be able to properly gauge a character's capabilities in battle due to how inconsistent they can be.
Are you trying to say Roshi isn't moon level because he is not listed under the people who can use the Super Kamehameha?
Do you really think Piccolo went from "island-level at best" in part 1 to a causal moon level part 2 when his power level stayed pretty much the same?
I take it you must be new to battle forums if you believe what I've underlined. Power levels are totally worthless and inconsistent in judging the capabilities of a fighter since they were only being used to hype up the power of whatever major baddie the Z Fighters faced that relied on scouters during the Saiyan and Frieza sagas. Roshi's supposed power level off his moon busting feat (if you wanted to believe it was legit) was 200 and Vegeta's when he was gonna planet-bust the Earth was 18,000 (clearly shown through a great deal of effort on his part). The Earth is four times the size of the moon and weighs 80 times more than it. This means if you wanted to follow power levels going off Roshi's feat, you would only need a much lower power level to do as such (at least 800 going off Roshi's feat). So why does Vegeta need to expand the effort to bust the Earth when he should have easily been able to destroy the planet if power levels are supposedly a legitimate measure of a character's attributes and destructive output?
@Avarici0us: Then explain what I got off another translation I've got for the Daizenshuu (Seventh volume) on said attack (key section is bolded):
First Appearance: Chapter 14
Category: ki manipulation
People: Kame-sennin, Son Goku, Son Gohan, Yamcha, Jacky Chun, Krillin, Son Gohan (grandpa), Tenshinhan, Cell, Majin Buu (good, evil, pure)
Special Characteristics: A ki manipulation technique thought up by Kame-sennin. It is a technique that condenses ki into one point and then fires it. The technique’s force changes based on the strength of its user’s ki, and if mastered it also becomes possible to control its force. Son Goku soon picked up this technique, perhaps because of his ki training with Son Gohan (grandpa), or perhaps due to his special characteristics as a Saiya-jin. Tenshinhan also easily copied it. From this, it can be said that it is possible to use the Kamehameha merely by being able to control one’s ki. (Daizenshuu 2, p.202/Daizenshuu 4, p.111)
First Appearance: Chapter 185
People: Son Goku
Special Characteristics: A Kamehameha powered up through his training under Kami-sama in the Heavenly Realm. It has enough power to deflect Piccolo’s powerful Makosen. (Daizenshuu 2, p.209)
There is no mention of the attack being moon-level in the Daizenshuu, which has me question the legitimacy of what luthluth has posted.
Thanks to a vote conducted in PM, Whis will now be banned from serious match discussions in this forum due to being mostly featless. Unless another DBZ anime or manga series comes out to show off more of what he can do, matches involving him are no longer allowed in this forum.
@XxGin: From what I'm digging up, he's basically the equivalent of Batman yet with magic. Despite the great deal of hype he gets, not banning him for now unless things get too overboard with him in matches.
