Battles » Goku End of z vs Mystic Gohan

Goku wins. 10 years of training even in peacetime is a huge amount for Goku. Considering from the very start of Z till the outset of the Buu saga was only like a fifteen year period and the massive progress he made there there is just no way I could imagine that he wouldn't get several times stronger. There were obviously extenuating circumstances but even in times of peace Goku has shown remarkable growth.

The five year period post-Cell seen him get many times stronger with no specific motivation. Those who are arguing that he could only achieve this through having such a unique training environment are forgetting his instant transmission, Goku could easily instant transmit there still to train with the likes of Pikkon, whilst having powerful training beats like Vegeta and Piccolo to keep him motivated. He has access to Capsule Corp through Bulma and all the technology he could ever need to aid his training.

Goku has been proven to display a similar level of Saiyan pride to Vegeta and there is no way I can see him accepting anyone else even his own son being stronger than him for long. The fact that Goku matched an admittedly relatively unskilled Uub, whilst only in Base form at the end of Z confirms this theory. When you add in Goku's far superior skill, resolve and ability to pull out a win in just about any given situation I just can't see Gohan winning this.

Battles » Vegeto vs Truhan

Vegeta/Goku at the start of the Buu saga. Mystic Gohan and Future Trunks at the strength he was at in his final appearance. Who wins?

Dragon Ball » Yamcha Underrated?

@MarioRedfield: Yeahh he's definently one of the best personalitys in the series. It's great how he's the only one that actually exploits his powers for money, has some of the funniest moments in the show.

Dragon Ball » Who or what should be the villain for the new DBZ movie?

Cell and Freiza fuse. If the good guys can do it why can't they? PL wise it wouldn't make sense but then again the fusions very rarely do.

Dragon Ball » Goku's Arch-Nemesis?

Frieza, Broly was a boring bad-guy, not enough sunbstance for an arch-nemesis.

Dragon Ball » What's your favorite DBZ Saga?

Close between the Cell/Namek sagas. I'll probably give it to the Namek mainly due to Vegeta/Krillin and Gohan actually having to play cat and mouse and be tactical to copete with Frieza and the fact that Goku isn't the one who saves the day in the Cell saga. In the end it should always be Goku!!

Dragon Ball » Yamcha Underrated?

Everyone always seesm to laugh at Yamcha and treat him as weak and a bit of a joke. I personally think this may be a bit unfair, whilst he is obviously never in the same class as the Saiyans or Piccolo I have him at a very similar standard to Tien and Krillin. Here's why...

At the outset of the Saiyan saga it is stated whilst he and Tien are sparring as part of their training that they are just about completely evenly matched

Yamcha like Tien makes mincemeat of his Saibaman and only dies through his cockiness in assuming it dead and turning his back on it.

He recieved the same training at King Kai's as Tien and Piccolo and was actually the first (between himself Tien and Chaoutzu) to catch Bubbles and hit Jeremy.

He is consistently shown to be relatively realistic in regards to his own power and his limitations and still showed up to fight the androids after the three year training period, even knowing they would be stronger than Freiza. This sugests his own power developed substantially.

He was able to last, albeit lose in a fight against the Cell Juniors which were a challenge for even Vegeta and Trunks.

It's obvious that he was never in the same ballpark as the likes of Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, Goten, any of the main bad guys in their own time frame or Piccolo but neither were Krillen, Tien or any other human. People often comment that yamcha never won a fight throughout the whole of Z, yet Tien or Krillen did not win one either unless you count the Saibamen or some of Frieza's no-name goons.

What I'm saying then is that Yamcha is right up there alongside those two vying for the strongest human slot. While he may just miss out (I personally think it's Krillen), he's far from insignficant. By the end of the series his own, Tien and Krillen's power levels although not known exactly are approximated at anything from 500,000 to 5 million, with some debate even as to whether they could defeat Frieza. While they pale in comparison to some of their ridiculously strong contemparies they still possess a remarkable power which would have been thought unreachable at the outset of Z. Give the guys especially Yamcha some more credit! :P

Battles » The Spice Boys vs Cooler's Armoured Squadron

The Spice Boys + Garlic Jnr vs Cooler's Armoured Squadron with Captain Ginyu/Jeice. 5 vs 5. Who takes it?

EDIT: Looking back this may be a bit one-sided take Ginyu and Jeice out of Team 2. So it's 5 vs 3.

Pokémon » Charmander vs Squirtle vs Bulbasaur

I always ended up with all three anyway. There is noone who definently turns out strongest stat wise, it was always dependent on how you trained them, if you used the rare candy cheat (ahh the memories), for instance your speed etc would be slower. My Blastoise was always an absolute beast, having said that i generally always favoured the water pokemon totodile in Silver/Gold amazing as well.

Battles » King Piccolo vs The Powerpuff Girls

@CerberusPrime3k: Hmm fair enough. Roshi destroyed the moon with a power level stated in Z to be around 100, although it may have declind slightly with age/lack of training and King Piccollo is far stronger than him. I think you may be right and the girls could have the edge with speed but they don't really have the cutting edge and Piccolo would be fighting to kill. I think a few good hits could be enough to take them down.

The most important decision of your childhood life... Which was your favourite and why?

Mines Squirtle because he is awesome in every way, he wore sunglasses and had a gang. He also evolved into the absolute beast known as Blastoise, let's all just forget Wartortle ever existed eh?!

Battles » King Piccolo vs The Powerpuff Girls

King Piccolo murders all three of them. They got taken out by a woman with strong extendable hair and frequently have close run fights with a pink, fat shotgun wielding hillbilly animal and a small (albeit legendary) monkey. Kid Goku (Dragonball) would be a better fight imo.

Battles » Super Saiyan Vegetto Vs Super Saiyan 4 Goku

I say SSj4 Goku, people criticise GT and rightly so for it's inconsistencies and lack of powerful showings but simple DBZ logic still dictates that Goku over a decade after the end of Z, having mastered a new more efficient form would destroy ssj3 Goku or anyone else from Z. Just because the execution isn't great does not mean the idea and character profile doesn't remain the same. SSj4 Goku was obviously intended to be vastly more powerful than any of the characters in Z otherwise there is no point in the transformation.

SSj1 Vegitto would present a challenge but given over a decade of extra training there is a very good chance Goku could have quadrupled his strength, just look at what he accomplished in the roughly 10 year period between the androids and Buu. He has an insane sparring partner in Uub, other guys like Veget and Piccollo who are training beasts, unlimted resources through his connections at Capsule Corp and can Instant Transmit anywhere in the universe or otherworld that will benefit his training.

If this is ssj4 Goku returned after departing on Shenron at the end of GT I think he could take even full-powerd Vegetto without too much difficulty.

Battles » Goku and Piccolo (end of Dragonball) vs Chaoutzu (late Saiyan)

@SSJjanemba: Can't say I'm his biggest fan haha but post training at the lookout I'd probably place his PL at 700-1,000, stronger than either Goku or Piccolo individually at the end of DB. I think during the Raditz fight they both maxed out at roundabout 500 if I'm not mistaken and they had maintained their training since the end of DB with even Roshi remarking on Goku's increased strength. They would then presumably have been considerably weaker when Dragonball ended. Chaoutzu has a chance here.
