@AnimeDefender: Nope, you're not seeing things. Give it a try if you're curious, you might be pleasantly surprised, I know I was!
Agreed. Start a meme thread if you want, but don't post that stuff in the wiki.
Now we know that this episode centers on the time war.
Well the trailers made that part obvious, and I think it's safe to say most of us assumed it would be the time war for a while now. Ever since the John Hurt Doctor was revealed wearing the leather jacket the Ninth Doctor wears, I assumed he was the Time War Doctor, it just made sense.
This was a fantastic surprise, I think it's great that they brought Paul McGann back and finally bridged the gap between the movie and the modern series. The part I'm most surprised by is how McGann still looks the part. He's 54 and the movie was released in 1996! I doubt many actors could pull that off.
@Acura_Max: You know, I think that's the first Magikarp card I've seen in the online game. Hurrah! I wonder what the Gyarados card is like...
I can confirm that Legendary Treasures packs have 10 cards! I managed to get enough tokens and bought a pack, and got an EX right off the bat! I think I'm going to like this set.
I was lucky enough to get a Legendary Treasures Pack as my booster pack of the week today.
Awesome, I thought Legendary Treasures might be omitted from the daily bonus since it's kind of a super-booster pack, good to know that's not the case!
I'm not given much incentive to buy the other packs since Legendary Treasures gives you a better chance of EX cards since has more ex cards for about 5 more tokens (2 Regular packs = 190, 1 Legendary Treasure Pack = 195).
Yeah, I'm with you on that, at least for the time being. Unless I'm going after specific cards from other sets I think I'll be saving my tokens for Legendary Treasures boosters for the foreseeable future.
If all my assumptions are true, maybe the pokemon company is trying hand out more EX cards balance things out with more experienced players (?). Either that or somebody made a mistake. In that case, we better get as many EX cards as we can.
It's definitely not a mistake, these things are carefully thought out. This expansion is bringing a bunch of old (out of rotation) cards back and it's the last expansion in the Black & White run, that's why it's got so many cool cards in it. The hardcore players and collectors will no doubt already have multiple copies of the cards that are being reprinted in this set, so it probably has a lot less to offer them. It might work out harder to get the new EX cards from this expansion because of the reprints. You have to consider all the angles :)
The Serperior that I got has a pokemon ability where if it has a grass energy, it will have no retreat cost.
Nice, that sort of thing is always handy.
@Acura_Max: Dude have you played online after applying the new update? Now that Catcher's been nerfed the whole game feels different and, frankly, fresh. Players are more willing to build up Pokémon on their bench (I'm predicting Mewtwo EX might make a big comeback) and take more risks. This might be the biggest change since EX cards were introduced. Everyone's tweaking their strategies.
I need to figure out what I should change in my deck. I might end up removing all four of my Catchers! Not long ago that would have sounded nuts!
@takashichea: Sure, go for it. Make sure you use the thread names I listed above. I'll add them to the directory when you're done.
@takashichea: @bigz007: Right, I've changed "Ongoing Anime" to "Ongoing & Returning Anime" and I've combined the regular fall season anime with the shorts. Crisis averted!
Magi - the Labyrinth of Magic, Hunter x Hunter, Beelzebub
These three in particular sound like good ideas. Hunter x Hunter is still an ongoing manga? Does that mean the 2011 anime series has hundreds and hundreds of chapters to get through? That would be pretty cool, no filler for years!
we don't have One Piece or Naruto Shippuden as ongoing.
That's only because we don't have discussion threads for them. If you'd like to start threads for them, follow the same format as the others (here's a good example) and call them:
It's important to keep the anime and manga discussions separate to avoid spoilers. And before you ask, yes I left "Shippuden" out on purpose. I leave the subtitles out so the discussion still makes sense, even if a sequel season/series begins with a new subtitle.
If you don't want to, me or Taka will make them. Been meaning to for a while.
@takashichea: I organised it to match Anichart. Maybe 5 minutes is too long to be considered a short? Regardless, I'd rather keep it the same, it makes it so much easier to organise.
We should probably have more manga discussions. I wonder if people would use Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach threads or if the weekly posts on the front page are enough...

GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS! Most of you have probably seen it already, but in case you haven't, here's the extended (better) version of the official Day of The Doctor trailer:
@Acura_Max: Huh, interesting. I wasn't expecting packs of Legendary Treasures to be more than other packs, but I suppose it makes sense. The emphasis is on EX cards so there are more in this expansion than most. Maybe my EX draught will be over soon! I'll just have to save up twice as many tokens... I guess that's one way to make me play more. Usually I just play one or two online matches a day.
Ah so they finally applied the Catcher nerf to the game, looks like they changed the starting rules too. You now flip the coin before drawing any cards and I think the first person can't attack. All this stuff combined should change how people play quite a bit, should be interesting.
@AnimeDefender: Sure, any anime is fine.
