@Newten: It's just your account that is broken. Weird I know.
Also I added sexual partial nudity to the no porn images rule on Giant Bomb.
Yeah, my image page seems to be the only page that won't load for me on Giant Bomb. I can upload images and everything just fine though so it's not a massive deal. I mention it to staff every now and then.
Eh. Anime images (official or otherwise) are generally more provocative then game images. A game is promoted with a trailer and a few screen shots, Zero season 4 is promoted with a static image trailer and posters of Louise molesting a strawberry. It's kind of just how it goes at this point. As for the image rules as long as nipples and genitals aren't visible and there's no actual sex act of any kind going on in the image, then it's fine.
@ZombiePie: By the way, in an attempt to keep this thread kind-sorta on-topic, I think I remember you saying you watched Zero no Tsukaima. Interested in season 4 at all?
The season 2 closer was one of the worst things I ever have watched and the series really went down hill halfway into season 2, and that third season...man fuck that shit. The way they convey heart-warming or touching moments and immediately whiplash it with a fan service gag just got old and often ruined genuinely good scenes. In the end I think they wasted a perfectly good plot to make something that played to the cheap crowd.
That said I'm going to watch it. I've already invested this much of my time into the series. Why not see how things finally come together at the end?
I definitely remember enjoying the first season more than the second and third, but I don't remember it getting that bad. Maybe I'm just so used to fan service and gags at this point that I barely notice it any more, I dunno, maybe I'll rewatch some of it before season 4 starts.
I think I read something about the directors for the seasons being different, one guy directed season 1 and another directed 2 and 3, and the guy who directed 1 is coming back for 4. May have to look it up to make sure.
Right I'll start the thread off then, here's the official art I've uploaded today.
New Louise artwork for the upcoming fourth season of Zero no Tsukaima. Judging by the way she looks I'm half-convinced there's some sort of time skip between season 3 and 4. Guess I won't know until it starts.
Here's some Mayo Chiki! art.
Allow me to explain. Anime Vice catalogues a lot of images with users adding more every day. These images are useful for wiki articles and filling in the galleries, as well as bringing in new visitors from places like Google image search. However, these images aren't really showcased in any way, so this is a place to share cool new official artwork you've added to the site.
What qualifies as "Official Art" you ask? A bunch of things: Artwork from magazines, posters, CD covers, DVD/BR covers, Visual Novel covers, Manga covers, etc. As long as it's officially affiliated with a franchise, it counts. Just make sure you know it's official and not just really good fan art or a vector trace (a digital trace of official art), sometimes it can be hard to tell.
I pretty much covered the major types of Official Art, so basically anything outside of what I listed above. But if you still need it spelling out; figures, cosplay, anime screen captures, and fan art don't count, so don't post them in this thread.
Personally I find the default galleries too broad, making it easy to lose images in the depth of the ever-growing galleries on this site. I recommend adding these galleries to pages:
Where do manga/novel covers go? Upload those to the book/volume page they belong to. Why shouldn't you add merchandise to the character pages? I think that's better on the franchise page, same reason why I don't advise adding fan art to the franchise or series pages, that belongs on character pages. After all, if we added everything everywhere the galleries would be ridiculous wouldn't they? These aren't official rules or anything, but I highly recommend the galleries I've suggested.
Please post images using the small (single) or side-by-side (multiple) settings.
This is partly to keep the thread tidy, but also because most official artwork comes from anime magazines aimed at guys. So don't be surprised to see anime girls wearing little to no clothing in some images. If you don't want to see such images, either scroll past them or leave the thread. Of course, full nudity (completely bare breasts or visible genitals) is not allowed.
Now share those images!
@Levance: This isn't related to anime or manga so I'm moving it to off-topic, but I'd strongly recommend posting threads like this on Comic Vine instead of here. I'm sure you'd get a fast answer over there.
Here's a pretty cool crossover image.
@finaldasa: Yeah, look at Azusa, trying to be scary, but failing that and being totally adorable instead. The guy who drew those always does great K-ON! fan art.
@ChristinaAV: That's fine Christina, that pumpkin is awesome! Especially since I just finished the Justice League cartoon last night.
