@Superevil225: Nice background, looks real sharp.
Guys, I'm locking this thread as I've made a fresh one here, drop by and show off your desktop in the new thread.
Have you found some fan art on the web recently and added it to our wiki database? Don't you think it's a shame that you go to all the trouble of finding it and uploading it, and most people never even see it? So do I, so that's what this thread is for; sharing all the interesting, funny, sexy or just plain awesome fan art you've added to the site.
Of course, if you want to share you're very own fan art or original artwork that you've created yourself, hop on over to the dedicated Artist Show-Off board, and make a thread just for you!
It should be pretty obvious, any artwork--be it hand-drawn, painted, digital or made out of jelly beans--that wasn't made by official anime/manga artists counts as fan art. It's artwork by fans. Duh.
Add fan art to the "Fan Art" gallery on the appropriate character page. If it's an image with multiple characters in it, add it to all of those character pages. Optionally, you can also add it do other pages that are appropriate, for example if you upload an image of Rukia Kuchiki in a bikini, you can also add it to the fan art gallery on the bikini page.
DO NOT add fan art to the anime series or franchise pages. Those pages are for official artwork and merchandise images only!
I recommend captioning fan art like this: "Character name (by artist name)" optionally you can add a word or two to describe the image, so sticking to the example above, a caption might be: "Rukia Kuchiki, bikini (by frank159)". For multiple characters, separate names with commas and use "&" instead of "and" to help shorten the caption, e.g; "Goku, Gohan, Vegeta & Trunks, Super Saiyan (by artistdude42)"
Try not to upload fan art if you don't know who the artist is. Personally I think it's important to credit the artist.
Please post images using the small (single) or side-by-side (multiple) settings.
It keeps the thread tidy and organised.
Now share those images!
Locking this thread down too, there's nothing meaningful going on here. I know this is the off-topic board but come on guys, this thread is dumb.
I'll be starting a ton of new community threads very soon (forum games, image threads and so on) get hype you guys.
@Toxin45: Your post wasn't very clear, do you want me to change the Isoroku page to Tamon? I looked those names up and they seem to be entirely different people.
@KuroNekoXIII: Are you sure Koudou should be Keido? That character's page is under the name Koudou in MyAnimeList's database.
@Newten: It's just your account that is broken. Weird I know.
Also I added sexual partial nudity to the no porn images rule on Giant Bomb.
Yeah, my image page seems to be the only page that won't load for me on Giant Bomb. I can upload images and everything just fine though so it's not a massive deal. I mention it to staff every now and then.
Eh. Anime images (official or otherwise) are generally more provocative then game images. A game is promoted with a trailer and a few screen shots, Zero season 4 is promoted with a static image trailer and posters of Louise molesting a strawberry. It's kind of just how it goes at this point. As for the image rules as long as nipples and genitals aren't visible and there's no actual sex act of any kind going on in the image, then it's fine.
@ZombiePie: By the way, in an attempt to keep this thread kind-sorta on-topic, I think I remember you saying you watched Zero no Tsukaima. Interested in season 4 at all?
The season 2 closer was one of the worst things I ever have watched and the series really went down hill halfway into season 2, and that third season...man fuck that shit. The way they convey heart-warming or touching moments and immediately whiplash it with a fan service gag just got old and often ruined genuinely good scenes. In the end I think they wasted a perfectly good plot to make something that played to the cheap crowd.
That said I'm going to watch it. I've already invested this much of my time into the series. Why not see how things finally come together at the end?
I definitely remember enjoying the first season more than the second and third, but I don't remember it getting that bad. Maybe I'm just so used to fan service and gags at this point that I barely notice it any more, I dunno, maybe I'll rewatch some of it before season 4 starts.
I think I read something about the directors for the seasons being different, one guy directed season 1 and another directed 2 and 3, and the guy who directed 1 is coming back for 4. May have to look it up to make sure.
