Darker Than Black - Chinese electric Batman + talking cat.
Wait, what? That sounds awesome.
Massive part of my childhood.
On top of that, even if someone in the community made something that was quality and along those lines, we're not allowed to spotlight it outside of a once a week community round up post.
That's not true, we also have the community section on the homepage for that stuff too. We just have to tell Perry to put stuff there, that's all.
Let's see what you could do..Instead of episodic blogging about Nisemonogatari one could for example study and explain all the in-jokes and references to Japanese media and products that's hidden in there. You could also do that with Bakemonogatari or Zetsubou Sensei if you so wished.
That's a little much to ask, especially when most people just want to read about/talk about the actual episode. If you want to talk about that stuff though, by all means do so it the comments. I'm sure some people would find that interesting. Remember, these articles are there so people can talk about the show, not just read about it.
One could compile all the shows airing and make a list on who's subbing them and thereafter rate them so you know where and who to get your subs from.
We have a list of legal streams here. We don't promote fansubs on this site though, so that's a no-go. We do our best to support the anime industry.
Totally stealing this idea from Sweep on Giant Bomb, check out his thread here.
Review/sum up any anime or manga series in just five words, for example:
Dragon Ball but with swords.
Zombies, panties and bouncing boobies.
Touching classic you should watch.
@Cloudenvy: Okay, now how about you tell us something useful. What exactly do you want to see?
Keep in mind though that we have to send our articles through staff as we can't post them ourselves. That makes posting "breaking news" articles kind of hard, that's a big part of why we've been doing weekly anime articles.
@ScarletKittie: Yeah I was thinking about this earlier. I think it would be best to only include characters with spoken lines in the character section and then add a section called "Background Characters" in the episode pages and list all the characters who made an appearance, even if it was the mane cast. I think that's the best way to handle it.
Set it up like this (making all this stuff up for the example):
@ScarletKittie: Yeah absolutely, there are plenty of locations to add; Appleloosa, Dodge Junction and so on. I think as long as it's been featured in an episode it deserves a page. We can add pages for the Library/Twilight's house, Fluttershy's house, the Cake's shop (I forget the name) and any other places like that too.
Edit: Added Spitfire.
@ScarletKittie: I've removed Zecora from the Earth Pony page, she's definitely closest to an Earth Pony, but the Friendship is Magic wikia (and the first episode she's in) make out Zebras as a pretty separate species. Not sure if I should add a "Zebra Pony" page or something like that though, since she's the only Zebra so far.
Man you all are assholes for not hyperlinking my username.
Agreed, how can you NOT hyperlink ZombiePie's username? he deserves much better than that.
@finaldasa: Hmm... dress light is is probably the best advice I can give. You don't want to get all sweaty at a convention. In fact if it's really packed you might want to take a handheld fan...
Other than that just enjoy yourself! I've only been to the MCM Expo in London, but it was pretty awesome. Got a ton of free stuff.
