Here's the requests from page 9:
http://www.animevice.com/cattleya-yvette-la-baume-le-blanc-de-la-fontaine/18-14511/ Cattleya De La Valliere Her last name should be the same as her sisters. I'm not sure what should be done about her old name, so maybe a alias.
Her current name matches several other wikis I just checked, so I can only assume she's married or something so her name is different. Maybe it's mentioned in the Light Novel and not the anime. The Valliere name is in the aliases.
@Obsidian609: All done (that list was huge!)
@Dekken: All done.
@Toxin45: All done.
@DrifterInGreen: All done.
This thread should be up to date now.
Sorry for the wait guys, guess none of us have checked this thread in a while.
@Dekken: The Jormungand wiki uses the name "Valmet" for that character so I left the real name as an alias.
@Toxin45: @Destinyheroknight: You guys should ask FoxxFireArt about the names for the Naruto beasts as he knows more about Naruto than I do.
I'm all for anime discussion guys, but why limit the thread to episodes 1 to 5? I can't see a reason why this thread couldn't be about the whole show, it would keep discussion flowing for longer.
Moved to the Dragon Ball franchise forum.
The Namek and Frieza sagas are definitely my favourite part of Dragon Ball Z. I believe Toriyama said at one point that Dragon Ball was supposed to end with Frieza's defeat, and I think it shows, all the best stuff happens on Namek in my opinion.
A particular highlight is Vegeta knowing he wasn't powerful enough to take the Ginyu Force and Frieza on by himself, at least at first, and being smart about it. He was sneaky, sly and tactical. Once he becomes a Super Saiyan his arrogance peaks and he thinks he can beat anyone and everyone from that point on. Don't get me wrong, I do like arrogant Vegeta, but tactical Vegeta is my favourite Vegeta.
@ShadowKnight508: That's not entirely true. The majority of the Whiskey Media engineers went to BermanBraun, Andy included, but I imagine they must be pretty busy building other sites and such for the time being.
@TheRealJpoe: For now, you can add blu-ray and DVD covers to franchise pages. Make a gallery called "BD/DVD Covers" and put them in there. You can write about them on the franchise page under a merchandise header like on this page.
@shonen: He actually gave them permission to use different hair colours? As far as I'm concerned that means Saiyan hair doesn't have to be black then. Toriyama allowed it himself. Sure, he originally intended for all Saiyan hair to be black, but that's not how things ended up.
Anyway if we keep digging around in the technicalities of Dragon Ball all we'll do is find countless plot holes and contradictions, I'd rather not be that guy, so I suggest we just forget about it.
Goku when he fought King Piccolo was 15 and had no noticeable change in size or appearance.
Judging by Goku's max height in DB he should of been much taller each year next to krillin
No... they grew at similar rates and then Goku had a growth spurt and Krillin didn't. Which is perfectly normal, everyone grows differently. I was a similar hight to a lot of my classmates when I was 11 or 12, in the next couple of years I shot up and was taller than nearly all of my friends for at least two years before a few of them caught up. I'm about 6ft 2", some of my friends caught up and some of them stayed shorter, and for the record, I am definitely a human.
all saiyans that have been draw by Akira Toriyama in the manga have been shown the have black hair.
...find me a colour drawing of King Vegeta by Akira Toriyama, and you win, otherwise that's a pretty pointless argument.
@shonen: I wasn't talking about Vegeta's first appearance where they messed his entire colour palette up. Vegeta has dark brown hair, it's much more noticeable in the original Japanese broadcast of Dragon Ball Z and maybe the Dragon Box releases that stay as close to the original film as possible, but it looks completely black in other releases of Dragon Ball Z because the colours are darkened. The difference is much easier to see in newer Dragon Ball Z material too, take this screen cap, for example.
If King Vegeta's hair colour was wrong, I imagine they would have changed it after his first appearance like they did with Vegeta, but they didn't.
I checked the ages on the Dragon Ball Wiki. Goku was introduced as a 12 year old and was 15 by the King Piccolo saga, Krillin is a year older. They were both short and both grew somewhat since they were introduced. The only difference between them is that Krillin continued to grow at the same rate, while Goku had more of a growth spurt over the next three years (pretty normal when you consider it's three years worth of growth). Rate of growth aside, the point is Goku and Krillin are both more or less fully grown by then, Goku is 18 at that point and Krillin is 19, generally about the time a human is fully grown. Therefore, Goku didn't have a "lengthy adolescence" at all.
If would help if the information in that image was correct in the first place. Not all Saiyans have black hair, King Vegeta's is brown and Vegeta's is dark brown, though it often looked black in the anime. I'm assuming "yellow" is meant to refer to Asian skin colour, and even then that doesn't even sound right. Goku and Vegeta have very different skin, Goku looks white and Vegeta looks sort of tanned.
And "lengthy adolescence"? What? I can only assume that's referring to how Goku was quite short when he was young and then had a growth spurt, which as far as I know is all that was. He was still fully-grown at that same age a human is. Saiyans do stay at their prime for much longer, as Vegeta pointed out, but I don't think there's anything especially unusual about Saiyan adolescence.
Official or otherwise (I hope it's not official) the information on that image just seems bad.
I just thought up a new concept that I seen in the past wiki projects I been working this month: Dying with a Smile.
How's that sound? Is it a good concept?
Yeah that's fine as it's an established trope, call it "Go Out with a Smile" as that's what I've seen it called elsewhere. "Dying with a Smile" can be an alias.
I dont know why funimation bothered with Ikki Tousen outside of the first season (which was average) the other series weren't that interesting or good IMO.
It's considered a popular show so I guess plenty of people must like it. I mean it's had like four or five seasons already. I pretty much agree though. I slogged my way through the first season and watched an episode of the second... I just find it kind of boring. It just needs something. I imagine I might still get through season 2 eventually though. Maybe.
Give me Queen's Blade over Ikki Tousen any day. It's not amazing by any stretch, but it's definitely the better of the two in my opinion, as dumb as it is.
Oh hell yes Mayo Chiki. Loved that series.
